We would like to welcome guests to our restored Edwardian house in the heart of Weymouth just off the Esplanade with it's fine sandy beach. The house has a modern kitchen and bathroom and the bedrooms are spacious and comfortable. The downstairs is open plan with a large lounge leading to a formal dining area. A breakfast/dining area is beyond this, with a long kitchen and breakfast bar further on leading to a courtyard style garden through patio doors. There is a downstairs shower room with a large modern shower cubicle, toilet, basin, shelves and mirror and coat hooks for bath or beach towels. If you need a quiet time away from the hub-bub of a busy household, there is a garden room to the rear of the property with a comfortable sofa bed for socialising with guests outside via patio doors that open onto the garden, and a second TV and DVD player. Great for the children to have films while the adults socialise. This room provides additional sleeping for two people.

There are garden chairs and a table, a large BBQ and tools (you will need you own charcoal).

Upstairs, there is a large kingsize bedroom with a bay window and built in cupboard. The floor has been stripped and varnished with rugs beside the bed. This room has a comfortable king size bed, bedside cabinets, lamps, a small Edwardian wardrobe with hangers, a built in cupboard and a dressing table/chest of drawers with a tilting mirror. There is a travel cot and a cot duvet in the cupboard.

There is a second king size room with patio doors and a Juliette balcony rail for safety. This room is carpeted, with a Victorian style bed, bedside cabinets, lamps, and a dressing table/chest of drawers with a tilting mirror, and hanging pegs on the wall.

There is a bathroom on the first floor with a shower over the bath with a glass shower screen. As this is a period property with sloping ceilings in the bathroom, the shower is low and taller people may be affected.

There is a shower room downstairs with a 1m x 0.8m shower enclosure, basin and WC with plenty of room to change from the beach with a bench seat and large row of hooks above .

There is a door on the landing with stairs lead up to a large open loft room with twin cream Edwardian style bed frames, bedside cabinets, lamps, chest of drawers, shelving and a hanging rail for clothes. The floor has been stripped and varnished with a rug beside the beds.

The property is a very short walk from the Esplanade with its long sandy beach, and an easy walk into town, the train station and the popular bars and restaurants at the quayside.

There are three bedrooms, and a double sofa bed in the garden room so will sleep up to 8 comfortably with 2 large bath/shower rooms.

Bath amenities include a hair dryer (in the dressing table drawer of bedroom one).

Entertainment: WiFi throughout, with a wifi range extender in the kitchen and two freeview flat screen TVs are included in the property, with scart and HDMI sockets.

Recreation and sports equipment: family board games, reading books in the lounge with a 42inch TV and DVD player, and a there is a multi sports table with table football, pool, air hockey and table tennis for young children along with a second TV and DVD player in the garden room at the rear of the property.

Notes on accommodation:
Please note that our CHANGEOVER DAY is FRIDAY. Changeover days are Friday to Friday for weekly holidays. SHORT BREAKS are available at certain times of the year. and when these are offered, they are FRIDAY TO MONDAY (3 nights), and MONDAY TO FRIDAY (four nights), so our housekeepers have regular days to attend to our property. Where possible, we aim to accommodate different days, for which a small fee applies towards the property being empty between guests. Please send us an inquiry first if you wish to come on different days. Minimum 7 nights in the school summer holidays.

Unrestricted on-street parking is available nearby to the north east of the property, and you can park for upto one hour in Zone A where the house is to unload and load your car.

Great location- lovely home
A very well equipped and spacious house in a great location as the house is within easy walking distance of the beach and restaurants. There are also good crabbing spots within easy reach which is essential for our grandchildren. The beds and lounge furniture were very comfortable and it was great to have the free parking permit. We did use the car more often this time as the town beach was quite crowded and we were mindful of distancing. As a result, we discovered Hive beach - miles of beach so you can choose your spot! There is also a huge National Trust car park so parking was easy. Highly recommended. There was always somewhere safe to unload the car on our return and then keep an eye out for a suitable location to park closer to the property. The new shower room with additional loo is a great improvement. There does seem to be an ongoing problem with the cleaning company. However, communication with the owners is fantastic - responses received very quickly. Thank you. We look forward to staying with you again in the near future.

Great location right next to the beach. We were lucky to have some fantastic weather. The house is nice and comfortable and we enjoyed staying there it was quite grubby on arrival particularly in the kitchen which was a shame however this didn’t impact on us having a lovely break thank you!

The house is charming, but does need a little TLC, though we do understand the costs of upkeep. I haven't put 5 stars for cleanliness, as Julie, the owner obviously had issues with the cleaning company who had not cleaned at all or changed bedding and towels, leaving me to scrub the house from top to bottom. Having said this, Julie did stay in contact with me, and had the cleaners drop some bedding and towels off for us to change over. Furthermore, she offered to compensate us for this and paid for a lovely meal at a nice restaurant, which was very much appreciated. I'm sure Julie will now double check with the cleaners schedule next time, as this was clearly just a hiccup. Thank you Julie. We were located just around the corner from the lovely Weymouth Beach and down the road from the fabulous harbour, which meant that we didn't need to use our car all week. There's plenty to do and see in Weymouth and lots of places to eat. Altogether, we thoroughly enjoyed our holiday.

Enjoyed our stay, and accommodation was comfortable, and decent size for family of 6. Back yard wasn't used much as of small size, but the beach is only a few minutes away. One car had to be parked outside the parking zone a short distance away, but we always found a place eventually, even in peak season. We had a few issues about the standards of the local managers, but house owners responded well.

Hi Both, We all really enjoyed the stay, at first we were a little unsure on the location but it turned out to be a great location. The house was great, great size for 6 of us and a couple of dogs, Beds were comfy, kitchen was amazing and once inside it was easy to find out the information I had asked for before hand. A small couple of gripes ! House was so very hot had to turn every radiator as boiler just runs permanently. Very bad damp smell, as we already mentioned we know you had a leak so couldn't be helped.. No hand-soap in upstairs bathroom or toilet cleaner in either bathroom. If those things were provided it would of been a clear 5 our 5!! Thanks for having us and we will hopefully see you again Kind regards Leigh

Great Christmas break
Light and spacious house ideal for our needs over Christmas. Very well equipped for entertaining the family over the Christmas holiday and easily accommodated 10 for dinner on Boxing day. With my elderly parents unable to travel very far these days the house had plenty of room to bring them to us from their home nearby for the festivities and take them back again at the end of the day. The downstairs loo a bonus for us as well. Very comfortable beds and we all slept well. Very quiet area and surroundings with onlt th eold seagull to disturb us occasionally. Would highly recommend

There was a leak from the ceiling due to the flat roof and heavy rain, but it didn't effect our stay. The house was very big and spacious, very clean. Home from home basically. Parking your car can be tricky as there is no off road parking, but as soon as we parked up we left the car there and walked everywhere. Right near the beach, dogs loved it, we loved what more can I say didn't want to go home and wished the house was mine it was all just fab Thanks for renting your house out :)

Great location, house a little basic
We enjoyed the stay overall, the location was good as most things were in walking distance. Parking was a real issue despite the parking permit. We were a bit afraid to move the car to be honest! We felt the furnishings, bedding,towels pillows etc were a bit basic although there was a smeg fridge and lovely cooker. The bathrooms were enormous but the shower was tiny in comparison, the fittings seemed bizarrely squashed into corners not making the best potential of the space. Just a little more attention to adding a bit more luxe would elevate this little property.

Lived up to expectations
Good location close to beach. Even with a permit finding a parking space was a bit of a game but we managed to on each occasion. Every thing we needed was there and beds were comfortable. House was clean until we needed to move a bit of furniture to retrieve our 2 year old grandsons toys. Fridge was very wet when we arrived and as we left, we dried it on both occasions. Possible problem? Overall very happy and good value for money.
