Publié le 4 août 2024 sur HomeAwayEverything was fine except for the mattress which was a bit hard- could do with a topper. Very clean and comfortable. The picture shown in the advert shows the view from the top apartment so the description needs to show images of the top view and the view from the lower apart which is what we got....thinking we were applying for the top apartment view with balcony. As it was the weather was atrocious so it didn't really matter in the end.

All photos are absolutely true to the apartment and taken from the apartment or from the driveway or verge outside. There are even a couple showing the car parked right outside the apartment, one shows the road next to the driveway. There are no photos taken from the apartment upstairs and no photos of a balcony. There are however photos of the courtyard next to the apartment with beautiful water views this is for the use of Beach Lane apartment only - perhaps you thought that his was a balcony? Perhaps a read of the description and the latest reviews would have further clarified the position of the property. The apartment has had high occupancy for the past 6 years and you are the first person to accuse me of false advertising as you did when I sent you parking instructions prior to arrival. Despite your rudeness I offered you the option of a last minute cancellation or the option of upgrading to Harbour Lane Apartment upstairs - you declined.
Bed comfort can be quite subjective and there is a topper on the bed. Had only great reports about the beds in past few months so I won’t be rushing out to replace. I wonder why you didn’t mention this on the note you left saying you had a lovely stay?

The view was exactly as advertised. Sunset was great and there was always something going on at the wharf (pier) to keep you entertained. The unit is nice sized and has all the amenities, even an air fryer!
The road is a bit tricky and narrow but there is little traffic. You will have to drive to almost everything. There is a yacht club restaurant nearby, but you need reservations. You do get a bit of noise from the upstairs guests but it's not too bad. It's a good base for checking out all the attractions in the area.

Superb location
Publié le 18 oct. 2023 sur HomeAwayI cannot recommend this apartment highly enough. It was super quiet, immaculate, with stunning views across the harbour. Just 10 minutes from the town centre it was the perfect base for our visit to Whangārei.

Amazing views, stunning house, great place to stay
