Superbe hôtel, vue magnifique
Publié le 4 juin 2023 sur HotelsLieu situé sur une île magnifique, personnel tres accueillant et aimable. Ce séjour était particulier pour nous car j'ai fais ma demande à ma belle, dommage que l'hôtel ne pouvais contribuer à faire de ce moment un moment plus spécial/inoubliable. Un petit nettoyage des ventilateurs seraient bienvenue dans les chambres sinon tres bien.

Île Robinson séjour romantique et paradisiaque

Belle vue mer mais elle n'est pas située sur la belle plage de l'île, la vue est beaucoup moins jolie que de l'autre côté ou sont situés les bungalows. Donc Petite déception à l'arrivée. Pour accéder à la maison il faut passer devant les cuisines et devant les poubelles, neanmoins le resort est magnifique.

The fact it was kid free appealed as we were there for our honeymoon. Food was magnificent and staff friendly and helpful.

Disappointing Experience at Palm Bay Resort if I could put half a star I would!
I recently stayed at Palm Bay Resort on Long Island, Whitsundays, and unfortunately, my experience was subpar. The staff was consistently rude and disrespectful, which set a negative tone for our entire stay.
The food at the resort was extremely overpriced and took an inordinate amount of time to arrive, often exceeding an hour. When it did, we were underwhelmed by the quality. The service was poor, and our room was neglected by housekeeping, with no cleaning or attention to detail during our stay.
To make matters worse, we encountered bed bugs in our room, which was unacceptable. We also experienced issues with our airport transfers, which were cancelled despite being prepaid. The resort withheld our money for 7 days, further adding to our frustration.
Our room had unexplained splatters on the bedroom wall that resembled blood, which was disturbing and never addressed. The resort's tour information was misleading, leading to further disappointment.
Perhaps most concerning was the staff's unapologetic attitude towards our complaints. Overall, our stay at Palm Bay Resort was marred by poor service, uncleanliness, and a lack of accountability. Until these issues are addressed, I would caution others against staying here.

Dear Scott, I want to start by apologising that your stay didn’t meet your expectations. Please note, that I have addressed the wait time for your stay with the kitchen team, as I do understand that due to one of our chef’s falling ill there was delayed wait times. We apologise for the hour wait. Sadly, we do have to inflate the prices due to not being as accessible and requiring a lot more resources to get it to the island but please know our prices are significantly cheaper than fellow island and very similar to Airlie Beach. As per the welcome letter you received on arrival and when you booked, we mention that housekeeping services occur every 3 days and depending on the length of stay, what type of clean you get. This is due to the resort solely depending on rainwater. The welcome letter also states that if you wanted a full clean this can be arranged with our reception team. The splatters on the wall are caused by the old fans, which we have since replaced. Due to humid summers here in NEQ, our fans had rusted. We are working with the owner of the property to have this repainted now we have new fans installed. You never addressed this concern with us, so we were never given the chance to explain alongside the concerns regarding the alleged bed bugs. The day of your departure, we had our pest control team coming on the boat you were departing on. He said that he would quickly check the room for us and found no evidence of bed bugs. In regard to the airport transfer, you booked this through a third party and which we only suggested before assisting you in booking the alternative. We only recommend these people, as we have never had an issue with them before and a well known at Hamilton Island. With your tours, a full debrief was given and sent to your emails. We worked with you over the phone when you were unable to locate your tour guides, but once again they’re only third-party suppliers. I want to also state, that the staff were not trying to make you unwelcome but after several sly comments, throwing menus on the floor and numerous complaints from fellow guests they were more cautious. We hope that clarifies your above review and all future readers.

Little piece of paradise
Publié le 14 août 2024 sur HotelsSuch a beautiful, quiet and intimate spot. If you’re after total relaxation this is the place. We found drinks to be very reasonably priced too. Yes, food is on the expensive side but the logistics of getting supplies there makes sense and the portions are very generous (enough to share a breakfast between two).
The staff are fantastic and friendly.
It is in a humid bush setting, so there are critters and some mildew around but nothing to worry about in the scheme of things.
The whole stay was exactly what we were after.

The peace and quiet was fantastic,from the greeting with drinks looking out to a beautiful sunset to the swimming in the pool or sea right there. The resturant was fabulos the chef and staff were top notch.the staff were so friendly helpful and happy to help if there was something we needed to ask regading tours etc . Wotif mislead us with advertising ,whenbwe put in hamilton island ,palm bay resort so we thought it was at Hamilton Island so flew into there but had to get 2 seperate boats out to get to resort. Wotif needs to sort it out . Better to go to prosperine airport then catch 1 boat ride direct to Palm Bay Resort.
