Quiet peaceful getaway
Publié le 15 sept. 2024 sur HomeAwayCame to town for a memorial, location was great. House was super clean; with a lot of cool things, like a museum. Host was very accommodating and communicated everything clearly. Was a breeze, we'll stay here again next time we come to town.

Beautiful Accommodations
Publié le 7 sept. 2024 sur HomeAwayMy first impression was about the neighborhood: tree-lined streets with well-established, nicely kept homes.
As I pulled into the driveway I noticed the lovely green shrubs, plants and grassy area. After closing the gate behind me, I let the dogs out into the completely fenced area. And if you are wondering the fence is 8 feet tall except for the iron gate to the driveway. I guess it's about 5-6 feet tall.
Stepping inside the home I began feeling like I was house-sitting and not entering a vacation rental. You could tell this home is well-loved and used by its owner.
Everything you need is in the well-equipped, large kitchen. The bedrooms are very nice size and comfortable.
If you love playing the piano, baby grand is waiting.
Book reader? There is a nice library.
Since I was visiting my son and his wife, I wasn't here for sightseeing or entertainment. He lives just 2 miles from this home so we were like neighbors. They came over and we chatted and cooked. I went to their home and we chatted and cooked. We had a lovely time together.
Keep in mind this is AnyWhere, USA so you have all the restaurants you might be used to: Olive Garden, Cheddars, Jason's Deli, Smoothie King and much more. We went to a couple of these and had even more time to share.
If you are looking for a place to stay in the area with your dogs, this would be my #1 choice. I WILL be back!

Absolutely charming house!
Publié le 3 sept. 2024 sur HomeAwayWhat an absolute delight it was to stay at this beautiful and charming house! It’s in a great area & neighborhood with a park right across the street! Centrally located to everything! The house had everything we needed plus so much more! Painos & harps added some musical fun to our stay! My 5 year old daughter can’t wait for piano lessons after staring in this home! My husband appreciated the desk and was able to do some work while we were here! My favorite room was definitely the sunroom! I enjoyed coffee in it every morning! Highly recommend!

Cozy and homey

The neighbors were hospitable and the park across the street was great for playing football and soccer with our grandchildren. Our host was gracious and quickly reminded when needed. The cottage would be great to stay on a rainy day!

Harp House

We came in for a wedding and she was the one playing for it!
We had no idea. It was a double bonus getting to meet her AND hear her play.
Her house was very very clean and spacious. The photos don't do it justice. We highly recommend staying here. Also, the yard is safe and totally enclosed, if you have pets or small children.

Christmas gathering

After taking a ride on the Polar Bear express at MSU to look at Christmas lights, we sang carols at the house while my sister accompanied us on the beautiful baby grand piano. The lovely Christmas decorations in the home added to the festivities.
