Our stay was great. We were delayed into town due to a canceled flight but Callum was there when we arrived and promptly showed us to our room. Our room was clean and sufficient for our needs. The area is good for walking around Wick. We didn’t have a chance to have a drink in the bar as it was closed the two evenings we were there. I would recommend and we plan to return again

Soaked through on the motorbike. Cold and miserable. Bailed out in Wick & needed a place quick. Camps Bar to the rescue. More so it’s hospitable proprietor Calum who warmed me up with a shot of Stroma. Enjoyed his banter & knowledge of local whiskies & distilleries (introduced me to Wolfburn).
For me he was a God send. Managed to dry my gear, sleep in a comfy bed & on my way north the following day a happy chappie.

Short stay in the Harbour Bridge
Publié le 7 sept. 2023 sur HotelsThe Camp Bar /Harbour Bridge Hotel is situated in the centre of Wick , off the High Street. Although small, the primary use was a bed and place I could use as a base to visit clubs in Wick and Thurso. The bedroom was small and compact. The staff in the Camp Bar (reception) were both welcoming and knowledgeable of the people and area. They do not serve meals however there are plenty of places to eat out within yards of the Hotel. This accomodation is not suitable for people who cannot move up stairs.

Publié le 1 août 2023 sur HotelsIt's located above a bar that closes at 1am, which means you're not likely to get any decent sleep till late, this was made worst especially that I had to get up early in the morning.
The staff was great and friendly though. I didn't like the bathroom being separated from the room, despite that only I had access to it, I don't like having to walk across a communal space to get to the bathroom.
The room itself was alright, you get what you pay for, it's small, but they put in some effort in practicality. There wasn't space to put my bag on so they stayed on the floor with a lot of other stuff.
I would not recommend staying here if there's more than one of you.

I’m afraid that this review only shows the intelligence of the writer! We would not or ever have hidden the fact that this room is above a busy bar at the weekends so much so we have pictures of it in the listing, we also don’t hide that the room is small and has a separate bathroom and not en-suite, that’s why it’s priced accordingly and is the cheapest accommodation in Wick, so they have booked on price never read the listing then have highlighted in this review everything you need to know! Unfortunately we cannot allow for ignorance.Regards Callum

So you didn’t like the budget room you paid for? Future guests we have had lots of people stay in this room it is our smallest and busiest but please be aware this room has a separate bathroom only for you not en-suite.These people see a cheap room the complaint! You get what you pay for.Best regards Callum
