Better in picture than reality

First experience with VRBO. So we went for a supper host to make sure we are getting what we see. Place is very close to beach, excellent for that. It says parking available but in reality, it is in the street, in busy season, may not be that obvious to find parking. But what we did not like was the furniture, old and dirty. Stains on the bed covers and on the mattress covers. Walls in bathroom dirty, we put our towels on the sofas to be able to sit down and did not even use the terrasse as the furniture there was even worst. Nice kitchen setup, everything you need is there. But fridge is so old that I felt an airplane was passing by when the compressor started. Nice a/c, cannot open windows as most do not have screens or they are damaged. But the worst was the noise. I could understand what the people below us were saying. That was a bit annoying as the bed is over the living room from downstairs. So got very noisy in the evening. But the location is great. Close by beach and boardwalk. Felt safe to walk outside.

I am sorry that you did not have a 5 star experience. Our parking indicates loading and unloading only so misunderstanding is unfortunate. Had you shared that your villa was not up to your cleanliness standards I would have sent the cleaners over to address as we want to assure everyone has a 5 star experience. Pennie

Some serious shortcomings

First off, there was no hot water. Second, the thermostat had been left at 60 degrees—way too cold— and the thermostat itself was very difficult to figure out how to use. I had failed to order sheets and towels—for which I take responsibility—but when I tried to reach the property manager through the app to see if we could get some, I got no answer. Later tried to call for advice on the thermostat, and again no response. Also, it was very noisy outside. There are not three bedrooms. Two bedrooms and a pull out in the living room. The unit itself was fine; guests should know it is a second floor walkup. Pack light!

I am sorry your single night stay was not as you hoped. I would like to respond to your concerns as I feel if your stay was longer we could have helped you to address. The guests before and after had hot water so not sure why you would not have had hot water The thermostat has instructions in the guidebook as well as on the wall, it is unfortunate you were not able to change the temp as quickly as you would have liked. When you reached out for linens you sent an email to the owner after hours instead or reaching out to property manager who covers after hours. Our advertising is clear that we are two bedrooms and has pictures of the unit. We strive to assure everyone has an excellent experience and are very sorry that you did not have this for you.
