Good, but not great.

It was about 10 extra minutes to pick up the keys from their main office, and after a 5 hour drive, I just want to unpack and unwind, not fumble with keys. However, the office staff was kind, polite and welcoming. They included a bag with a thick stack of local restaurants and coupons, which was appreciated since places change all the time on the island.
It was a shared garage, which didn't bother me much, but still worth mentioning if you planned to leave your beach gear out, or for us, nowhere to leave our Thule since we would need to remove it to park in the garage.
Cleanliness could have been better. Undergarments from the last renters, pubic hair on the toilet seat and crumbs on the table. Not to mention as a "no shoes in the house" family, our feet were black by bedtime. I would have rented a rug doctor if we stayed any longer.
BUT it was cozy and comfortable once I cleaned it to our standard. We spent more time lounging compared to previous B&Bs we rented. It was layed out well and we didn't hear the neighbors once, which never happened in all our WW trips.
The price was fair, all things considered. I would return under the premise of a new cleaning staff.

Publié le 1 juill. 2023 sur HomeAwayThe property and location were perfect for my family. It was a short walk to the beach and boardwalk, overall very happy with our stay. The check in and out process was not as convenient as I would have liked because there’s a near ten minute drive to pick up and drop off keys, would have been nice to use a code or drop box instead.

Publié le 16 oct. 2022 sur HomeAwayGoing up the stairs to the condo, the railings were dirty and scummy. Not a good first impression before going into the condo. In the condo, many lights were burnt out, the rugs were badly stained, the fans looked like they have not been dusted in a few years, the garbage can for the recyclables needed cleaning and on the shower valve a screw is coming out in the main bathroom. Overall the place is just ok. The appliances all worked and no problems with the internet. I wish we would have been told where the trash cans were outside before we arrived so we did not have to go looking all over for it. I had tried calling on Saturday morning (they said they were open Monday through Saturday) and according to the message they were closed. It was about 10:30. We were able to figure out our problem.

Cleanliness was the main problem

It seems like the cleaners only did a very surface clean, we were staying with three young children and when we moved the central ottoman over maybe an inch or two there was a used jello shot syringe we found on the floor, the side of the cabinet and floor around the garbage can was very sticky like it hasn't been cleaned in a long time, and we were left with no garbage bag in one of the garbage cans. Just simple things that we felt would've been picked up on if they did more than just a light surface clean, it made us wonder what else we couldn't blatantly see. And the shower in the main hallway drains so slowly
The location was great, could walk everywhere we needed to go so that was a plus though, just needs a better cleaning.

Disappointing property
Publié le 28 sept. 2021 sur HomeAwayThe listing said cable TV and there was no cable TV, just subscription stations. Two of the stove handles were broken and, when replaced by a generic brand still did not work. It was quite difficult to cook for 7 adults with only 2 burners. The dryer timer did not work and we were glad we noticed that after two hours the knob did not move because that is dangerous and could have caused a fire. I would not trust this listing again. It is managed by a realty company and the listing was inaccurate.

It was bound to happen! I've been renting this home for many consecutive years, and all to rave reviews. This is a really pretty condo with all the amenities and nice views on a nice quiet residential street.
The range was replaced in September with a brand new one, once it became apparent that the replacement knobs were not working well. And because of "covid", it took a few weeks to get the new appliance in there.
The dryer was serviced after we received this review, but no problems were detected. I'm not sure what went wrong there......
And this listing was inaccurate to state that there were Comcast services without any further explanation. What was available? A combination of basic Comcast services PLUS streaming services for additional channels. This review was written by a family of 7 adults who were all 55+, and they had trouble with the streaming factor. If they hadn't written this review, I would not have known about the streaming services at all! We made it all the way through the summer without any problems until this late August week before I heard about this. We've asked the owner to clarify services for us so that we can advertise it appropriately.

Great place

I would book this place once a year to continue to create family vacations. Easy to check in and out. Close to beach and boardwalk. It was perfect, we miss it already.
