Sorry to hear that William. Almost all our reviews on this property are 4.5 to 5 stars. Yes, these Cabins are on the older side, really can’t find anything like our Cabins in the Lake Geneva area so close to the Lake. We keep them very clean. This summer we have had a lot of rain and humidity, and we are on a wooded property that may cause smells maybe? As far as amenities, everything listed on our description is in the Cabin. If you wanted something additional , please ask.

Could’ve been nicer…
Publié le 24 juin 2024 sur HomeAwayJim was great with communication and meeting up with us, top notch. Where I think he could’ve done better was the cleanliness of the place. The floors had dead ants and dead flying ants all over the bedroom, like they just sprayed. The rooms smell of mildew, could use some damp rid. I’m not going to pick it apart, just thought there was some room for improvement, that’s all!

Thanks for the four stars Kevin! You stayed four nights with us, happy you enjoyed your stay! Yes, we had an exterminator in to make sure our Cabins are ant free! I gave you an early check before the cleaning service double checked, a miscommunication on our part. We noticed that you left the screen door open after moving in, so that might of let some flies into the Cabin. And yes a bit damp, we had several inches of rain, including a Tornado that touched down on our Village that weekend. We will make every effort to make sure this does not happen again. Jim

The cabin was the perfect amount of space for myself and my partner plus our dog (who LOVED the yard). Location was a huge convenience - easy access to the beach/water as well as Main St. Also the little grocery store you pass as you enter the property had anything we would need for our trip. I will definitely be staying again. Thanks Jim!

Publié le 16 juill. 2023 sur HomeAwayThis is a old hotel. Individual cabin type pretty clean did find a dirty wash cloth in the shower some cobwebs but that didn't bother me. Room had everything you needed for your stay except air-conditioning. The AC was a 8000 btu portable unit would not cool the unit had to close the bedroom door to cool just that room. Possibly would suggest in the future to turn it on sooner before guests arrive to get the humidity out and cool the place down.

Thanks for the honest review Brad! Yes, it is true that we should of put on the Air sooner, our mistake. It was an unusual day of 105 degree heat index, no excuse on our part. There are two overhead ceiling fans that helps, and, we did put in a 14,000 BTU Air Conditioner based on your recommendation. It is true, we are a vintage type experience, not found anywhere in the Lake Geneva anymore. You do get a Cabin Experience in a wooded area with picnic tables, firepits, and grills close to the Lake. We did talk to the cleaning crew about leaving a wash cloth behind, and that was addressed. Happy you enjoyed the free Beach passes and grilling out on the prpoerty during your stay! Jim
