John and Debbie were outstanding hosts. The property is great and really convenient to all Colonial Williamsburg had to offer. Will definitely stay again if we are ever in Williamsburg.

This property was a real find. We were greeted at the door by the owner. He had a small snack and drinks ready for us. The house is themed by Presidents and Prime Ministers. We stayed in the Winston Churchill room. It wa decorated beautifully and very comfortable. Breakfast was cooked to order and delicious. The knowledge of the area by the owners was very interesting and helpfull.

We arrived at 2:30 pm and it was raining heavily; so we waited in our vehicle until the rain let up which it did at 2:50 so we quickly headed to the entrance. When we were let in the man who said he was the owner repeatedly told us we were early as check in is at 3:00pm; then he in formed us that our car a Honda CRV was parked crooked. Not very welcoming!

Kurt. Sorry you felt you were not welcome. We are a small Inn. We try to explain on confirmation emails before your arrival as well as a text the morning of your arrival that we cannot check anyone in until after 3pm. Housekeeping and errands are done between 11am (check out) and 3pm (check in). It is a very small window to get everything done. When someone attempts to check in early, it does nothing but put us more behind. I know 10 minutes is nothing to you but it actually may allow us to run to the bathroom before you check in. :) We ask you to pull your car straight into a spot as we have 9 parking spots and 9 rooms so if you park crooked another guest will not have a spot. We ask you this so all of our guests can enjoy their stay. Sorry you found that uncomfortable. We wish you the best.
