This was a nice property but we had no hot water 1 day and a horrible sewage smell in the room on the last night of our stay. Not sure what was going on. We didn't alert maintenance about the water because we were on crunch time to ger ready for a party. As far as the sewage smell it was 12:30am when we got back so we closed the bathroom door to block the smell. I notified guest services the morning of checkout they apologized but didn't offer any compensation. We will probably try the property again.

Lots to do here, grounds are well kept. Room was not ready on time, over an hour late. Staff could have been more helpful. Found bugs in the room and they wanted us to move out for a few hours and wouldn’t place us in another room until I argued about it, so not great customer service. Also was not concerned about room being ready late.

Room was a 2 bedroom suite with a nice common area. Trips goal was to hang out with the grandparents and get some bonding time. The suite we were in was a 2 bedroom with a kitchen and common area to hang out in and enjoy morning breakfasts in before visiting local parks of Busch Gardens and Water Country. Final day in the suite was a recovery day to just hang out and enjoy the pool. Room was overall clean with some minor annoyances. Remote for the television (for kid down times) had some semi-functional buttons on it which was annoying. Coffee machine had a broken handle on the coffee grounds basket. Table had some minor sticky substance left over from a prior occupant. Easily cleaned up, but distressing to see. Island in the kitchen at the base showed signs of water damage either from an incident or cleaning of the tiles getting under it. Overall it was a good experience. Staff was exceptionally friendly and helpful. I would easily recommend staying at thi s location.

Our stay at club Wyndham Governor’s Green was a pleasant surprise! Our condo was spacious and clean, and provided everything we needed. The resort was lovely and quiet! The pool areas were equally beautiful and wonderfully refreshing after hot days in Busch Gardens and Water Country USA. Minigolf was an added bonus. To be noted, you can here a train go through the area periodically…but it didn’t disturb us. This resort was located close to Colonial Williamsburg, Busch Gardens, Water country USA and William and Mary. Many restaurants to choose from for dining. When we return to the area, we will stay here again!

Perfect, except..... When we arrived after an 11 hour drive, we were greeted by the front desk staff that said "you're staying 2 nights, right?" Nope! We had booked/prepaid for 6 nights. The hotel apparently was going to shift us to another property after 2 nights. This was unacceptable, and is against the Virginia consumer protection law. I asked for the manager, who said "call the reservation number, and they will tell you where you're going." Nope! I insisted that she call. Fortunately, after 15 minutes in her office, she returned and said we could stay for the 6 nights we had booked. I had never experienced anything like this before, and it would have been a huge logistical nightmare for our particular circumstances. It's a timeshare that they also bill as a hotel. There is a soft sell at check-in to get you to go to their timeshare presentation - nothing too aggressive. Other than that, the property was fine. Quiet and peaceful. Close to the Williamsburg activities. Pool was nice. It's just a bit dated.

Do not book here through Expedia or any third party. Our booking (2 bedroom suite) was canceled 1 hour prior to arrival, with no alternative given . Expedia did not even know it was canceled when I called customer service, and Wyndham said it was not their problem, and directed us to call a “third party” that supposedly caused the cancellation. After much argument, the Wyndham manager called another supervisor , who helped us to rearrange a booking for a 2 bedroom suite. Poor customer service and poor communication between vendors. Lesson learned- book directly with hotel-bc if there’s a problem-it’s YOUR problem.

They cancelled our reservation less than 24 hours prior to check in and we were sent to another hotel with significantly less accommodations. This was such a horrible experience. Unfortunately, there are other negative reviews where people have had the same issue. Please stay away from this property at all costs. Everyone at the front desk will not help you as well.

Stay was pretty good. There was a leak coming from our room when we weren't there, but they fixed it quickly. The staff is friendly. My only criticism would be around staffing the pool area. A few nights there were kids running all over and kids throwing the footballs in the pool. Normally, nothing big, but they were throwing from one end of the pool to another. They hit multiple kids in the pool and didn't seem to care. I would consider having someone out there to monitor the behavior. Other than that, our stay went well.

Gorgeous property and spacious clean condos. My family definitely enjoyed the pools and mini golf. I enjoyed the gym and jet tub in my room. We will be making this our go-to resort when we travel to Williamsburg in the future!
