My second time here and it honestly feels like a second home. The animals are friendly and so was Carmen! It's honestly a must, if you have a bucket list. Joseph was very helpful and thorough as a superhost. I highly recommend visiting!

A Friendly Getaway

I and two of my friends enjoyed a wonderful overnight stay at the Bluebird Farm Treehouse. We were welcomed by our friendly host and given a tour of the property, complete with "introductions" to the dogs, goats, and sheep on the farm. It was such a treat to "get away from it all." The bucolic setting was perfect for our need to rest, enjoy each other's company, and feel refreshed. Thank you for a lovely stay.

Perfect location to explore from

We only stopped for a night passing through on our way to Maine. What a perfect little spot. Easy On/off from I84. It fit the 4 of us with ease. Bed was comfortable, and with all the windows open it was the best night of sleep I’ve had in months! The goats and sheep were comical, the dogs and cats lovable, and the general vibe of the place was well worth the price! We would definitely book again when passing through.

Overpriced for what it offers

Only reason it isn’t a one star is because it was in fact a house in a tree. But there are a number of issues we encountered including: 1) broken shards of a ceramic that covered the flood of the treehouse living room and bathroom, one of which I cut my foot on 2) a broken bathroom door that does not close properly. We had to use a small towel as a makeshift stopper for the door 3) bad communication with the hosts. They told us to schedule an appointment anytime during the weekend to meet with the animals, but then texted us that they would be busy all day Saturday and that Sunday morning would be better. The morning of, they then told us that we couldn’t meet with the animals anymore due to weather conditions. If rainy weather was a concern(the forecast called for rain on Sunday all weekend), then Saturday should have been an option. Overall I found this to be a disappointing experience and encourage others to do their research more closely than I did before committing to something like this.

Shiraz, we are sorry to hear this! I'm sorry about the misfortunate injury, we have alerted our cleaners to ensure this doesn't happen again. The door is fixed. I'm surprised to hear you thoughts about communication, we were texting/messaging you throughout your entire stay. I recall trying to schedule time with you for a tour of animals, but most times did not work for you? And, then we had a rainy day, in which it would have not been fun to be outdoors. However, I appreciate this review, because it makes us want to be better for our wonderful guest, just like you Shiraz. Thank you. We look forward to hosting other amazing individuals at Bluebird Farm CT !!!

Cozy winter getaway

So cozy and it felt so restorative to be around the animals and surrounded by nature. We had a great time getting away from it all-- we didn't want to leave!

I loved the atmosphere of this property. A great place for someone who is accustomed to staying at modern hotels and wants to transition into camping. I loved every view. My favorite part of the trip was being greeted from feline friends; they even said goodbye. I am 100% likely to return to this treehouse!! Thank you!
