Peaceful house in Adirondacks
Posted Nov. 3, 2024 on HomeAwayThis was my first hiking trip in the Adirondacks and this little house was just perfect for my visit. All the comforts of home from the welcoming living room to the nicely stocked kitchen to the beautiful outdoor setting. Very quiet neighborhood in the woods but easy to get to the places I wanted to explore. About a 20 minute drive to Lake Placid. Enjoyed the gas fireplace! Can’t wait to come back next fall because there is so much to do in this area!

Second Time Visit
Posted Jul. 19, 2024 on HomeAwayThis was our second time staying at this chalet. My wife and I brought our daughter and dog last July and had such a great time, we rebooked for this July. Its proximity to Lake Placid is a huge plus. The entire town of Wilmington is runner friendly. And there is a dog friendly park with a beach on the Ausable River within a 5 minute drive. Our daughter loved this park and all the swimming she was able to do. A small grocery store is 1.5 miles away which made shopping for meals a breeze. We loved our time here and will be booking again in the future.

Wonderful get away!
Posted Jun. 24, 2024 on HomeAwayWe had a great time at this chalet. We were in close proximity to High Peaks hiking and 15 minutes from restaurants in Lake Placid. The chalet was decorated beautifully and everything worked great. We loved the grill and French press. It was a private property (there was one house in front of us we could see through some trees, but it was still private). There was a big deck that got sun during the peak sun hours, so we spent some time tanning as well. Ac worked great and the bed was comfortable. The oven was a little small, but it worked fine. I don’t think it would fit a 9x13 pan, so just plan for that. We cooked most of our meals on the grill and there was plenty of propane. We had an amazing stay!

Black Diamond Chalet

Charming, comfortable, tastefully updated, very clean, close to everything and private. Safe area is an understatement. Whiteface Mountain is only a few minutes drive. Owners respond quickly to any questions or concerns.
