Our second visit to Paul’s Barn and it gets better each time! TONS of activities for kids to occupy their time. Most popular this trip the ring it game, zip line, and foosball! Best private water feature in Wimberley! Owners are probably the most friendly we have ever had and can not wait to book our next visit!

Great Place for Families with sporty kids

Publié le 25 sept. 2024 sur HomeAway
We absolutely loved our stay! It was perfect for our basketball loving kiddos who can shoot hoops all day and play in the creek forever! They loved the rope swings, floats and kayaks and I loved the many porches and patios and swings for adults. The kids could entertain themselves and adults could relax. Only 1 mile from town so everything was close by. The kitchen had enough to cook on that we could make full meals. We'd love to go back! It was perfect for our active kiddos.

Adorable, fun cottage on a cold-water swimming creek!

We had a great time at the guest house on Cypress Creek! I found that the listing and associated pictures were very accurate, so it was exactly what I expected and hoped for! Communication: Wendy was easy to get ahold of. She gave us a lot of space and privacy, but was available if we needed help. Indoors: The guest house is so cute. It's thoughtfully decorated, and designed for kids, adults, and pets. There are games, toys, dart board, and foosball table, plus a covered porch with a basketball arcade. Lots to do in case of rainy weather. Although the house is not airtight, we did not see any bugs or spiders in the house at all. Loved the outdoor shower! The beds are up a steep staircase, but the kids loved it and were comfortable enough. The kitchen has a refrigerator, microwave, toaster oven, and coffee maker. If you are staying more than 2 nights, I recommend bringing additional coffee, paper towels, and toilet paper, although there are 2 grocery stores very nearby. Outside: There's so much to do outside, but we spent most of our time at the creek. The water was historically low when we went, but it was still 6 feet deep in the main swimming hole, and was cold! Loved the rope swing, kayaks, and floaties! There is a basketball court with pickleball, zip line, and other yard things. Plenty of space to sit outside. The main house is right next door, but no windows face the guest house, and we felt that we had enough privacy. Overall, a great stay, and will come again!

Perfect Glamping Getaway

Publié le 30 juill. 2024 sur HomeAway
We had an absolutely fantastic time - the property is a hidden gem, secluded and serene, with a crystal-clear creek that provided the perfect backdrop for relaxation. It was so refreshing to have a spot all to ourselves, away from the crowds. The location is also a huge plus. It’s super close to the square, where we enjoyed delicious meals at local restaurants, live music, and even a fascinating glass-blowing demonstration. Everything we wanted was just a short drive away. The environment was peaceful and the whole experience was incredibly fun for our family. Whether we were lounging by the creek or exploring nearby attractions, there was always something enjoyable to do. We couldn’t have asked for a better spot for a family getaway. Highly recommend.

Spent a week on the property The property was exactly as listed! We did share the creek with the neighbors one morning but beds were comfortable, air unit and fans kept the barn cool and we loved the outdoor shower.

Weekend Summer Getaway

Publié le 13 juin 2024 sur HomeAway
Beautiful property with steps right into the cool and clear Cypress Creek. Wendy is an AMAZING host! Paul’s Barn was comfortable for our family of 4 (2 adults, 2 kids) with all the outdoor adventures right off the porch and plenty of fun games to keep our young boys busy. Rope swing, platform to jump off, zip line, kayaks, and basketball court were all a hit. Hershey (the cat) was an added bonus for cuddles and entertainment too! We got lucky and didn’t have to share the creek with other properties while we were there. There is a small AC in the loft to help keep the barn cool at night and plenty of fans to use during the day for good air flow since the doors are not sealing the barn completely. Shower was outside and the kids thought it was hilarious. Wendy’s property is only a couple of minutes from Wimberly Square. Had a GREAT time! Memories were made and relaxation was achieved. Thank you Wendy for sharing your little slice of heaven!!

Great Glamping Experience in the Texas Hill Country

Publié le 12 avr. 2024 sur HomeAway
Me and my family went to this property to view the total eclipse and enjoy some time away from home for a weekend. While we did catch a lot of clouds for the event the rest of the stay was quite enjoyable. We had no issues staying cool with the great airflow of the property, keeping the mosquitos out of the barn, or making simple meals. We enjoyed the fireflies and my toddler had a lot of fun following the local cat and playing at Old Baldy and the Blue Hole Playground (both only a short drive away). We didn't experience the amazingly clear creek due to how cold the water was (just being cautious for the toddler) but would definitely have taken a dip in the summer.
