Room was very small with no window, only a skylight. Was difficult to charge items (drinks, breakfast...) to room, had to pay upfront

We offer all guests upon check in if they would like to pre-authorise a card on to their room so that they can charge things to their room throughout their stay. Guests who do not take this option will need to pay as they go. Sorry for any inconvenience. As a city hotel, some of our rooms do indeed only have windows in the roof, though with location this does not really impact views. Great stay - this is the second time we have stayed here and we found staff friendly whilst providing excellent service. The spa and treatments are relaxing and easily accessible. We also enjoyed dinner in the restaurant which was both well prepared and a reasonable price. We would stay here again.

Great stay overall. Easy parking, even though it was paid. Rooms were a bit of a maze to find up and down and around, but with the older building floor plan, was expected. Restaurant was nice and was open till good time. Only con, the shower was impossible to get the correct temperature and pressure and the overhead rain shower never worked. Would recommend!

The room and bed was comfortable. Staff were very friendly and keen to make my stay pleasurable. However, I object to having to pay for parking at the hotel when I am bringing business to the establishment. I was also appalled at being charged £10.95 for a large glass of merlot - more than a bottle would cost. It leaves one with a sense of being ripped off. Had they charged less, I would have drunk more and the hotel would have made more of a profit.

Hotel room was clean, spacious and of a good standard. Spa was well equipped although changing rooms were not very clean and the jacuzzi water was dirty
