Just Perfect!
Posted Apr. 5, 2024 on HomeAwayYou can’t go wrong staying at Applethwaite Cottage. “Granny” is perfectly charming and oh so convenient to all things Windermere. Our entire stay was seamless, with a lovely cake on the counter and tulips in the window to greet us. I look forward to staying here in the future. Thank you to Andrea for a most wonderful and memorable holiday.

Fabulous Cottage
Posted Dec. 28, 2023 on HomeAwayImmaculate cottage right in the heart of Windermere. Nothing is too much trouble for the hosts. We have just enjoyed a magical Christmas time in this beautiful cottage, complete with real Christmas tree and a log burning stove - perfect. We took the advice offered on visiting some of the local places and were not disappointed. We were blessed with good weather and enjoyed the walk into Bowness, at the end of which we found a lovely friendly pub and had a mulled wine - a must! It's our second time here and we hope to return many times in the future.

Refreshing and unfortunately rare to stay somewhere with good quality utensils. Knives that actually cut!
Furthermore, herbs and spices were also available. Making the stay more enjoyable.

Great 4 night stay
Posted Oct. 18, 2023 on HomeAwayWe had a great 4 night stay in this lovely cottage. So central, right across from Train Station and food store (Booths). Easy walk to shops and restaurants.
Very clean, well equipped kitchen, good internet, everything just perfect.
