A wonderful stop-over in Lake District
Publié le 18 juin 2018 sur HotelsWe highly recommend Vince and Shirley’s guesthouse. The room was immaculate and nicely decorated, fully equipped, great bedding.
The breakfast was very well cooked and generously served, in a pretty dining room overlooking a well kept garden.
The guest house is located 15 mn walking distance to the village Center, with an access through a lovely park with a small beach and a great view. The village has a good selection of pubs and restaurants.
Vince shared addresses of local restaurants and the scenic direction to the village.
Free parking on site.
Five stars all round.

We arrived to a warm welcome and the friendliness and kindness continued throughout our stay
Amazing breakfast cooked to perfection
Situated in a perfect place with everything accessible
Ample parking would highly recommend to anyone looking to stay in Bowness

Storrs Gate House is beautiful and smells devine! We had the warmest welcome on arrival from the hosts Susann & Glenn who couldn’t do enough for us throughout our stay. Breakfast was generous, setting us up for the day, so much so we never lunched the whole weekend as we were too full from breakfast! The room was very clean and well decorated. You know there is a touch of class when you see The White Company toiletries offered as standard. Cannot wait to visit Lake Windermere again and for sure we’ll book Storrs Gate House as location and everything about the house and hosts was simply perfect. Highly recommended.

Great find in Windermere

Beautiful property amazing hosts who cant do enough for you. Suzanne greeted us at the property and made sure to recommend local restaurants for our evening meals. The breakfast fruit starter is amazing and Glen cooks a mean breakfast with high quality produce. Rooms are spacious clean and individual. Highly recommended would definately stay again.

Beautiful property. Very friendly. Lovely breakfast. Gorgeous bedroom.
Close to Lake and easy walk into town.
