One night
Publié le 11 sept. 2024 sur HomeAwayIn my communication with the owner I was told the house had a fenced in yard for our puppy. We got there and it was only fenced in on 3 sides so she could run out in the road. The main reason we rented the place was for the yard. Plus the yard was full of bricks PCV tubing and a piece of wood with a nail sticking
out. Our dog got her head stuck in the tubing!
The steps to the front door were uneven and there was no railing.
The screen on the back door was torn and half off. There were no extra pillows and towels in a closet as stated
We stayed only one night we were refused any
refund even the pet fee was not reimbursed.
The small kitchen table had seats with no backs and the photo on the VBO page showed a table with 2 high back chairs.
We were very disappointed. The communication between the owners and also the property manager was difficult as they were hard to reach by phone.

Amazing water pressure!

The space was perfect for the running around we needed to do and was a solid base of operation. The kitchen, bedroom, and bathroom are well-appointed. We did not spend any time in the living room or outside areas. The water pressure in the shower is amazing and I could spend hours there. :) The home is on a busy road at commute times so take the owner's advice and K turn in the driveway to make exiting the home easier at dawn and dusk. Great communication with the owner. Would stay again. :)

DO NOT BOOK! Disgusting & Filthy, Misleading pictures, MOLD, unsafe conditions & THE WORST service!
Publié le 23 juin 2023 sur HomeAwayOur stay was Sunday-Wednesday but could not tolerate 1 night. Upon arrival, the back door was wide open & unlockable. This made the house on a VERY busy & loud street UNSAFE. Once inside the musty moldy smell was pungent. The bathroom was full of black mold. Bathtub grout & the window/blinds IN THE BATHTUB were dripping with mildew & tiles were CAKED with black mold.
The ceiling in the unvented bathroom was stained/dripping w/mildew. The bathroom, floors & kitchen were filthy.
I had to wipe it clean myself. Chunks of food were in the sink, dried food on the counters & the dishmat, a used k-cup in the kureg coffee maker + the water had not been emptied. Dried food stuck inside the fridge.
The photos show a small kitchen table & chairs, however, we found them smashed in the garage that doesnt even have a door.
The door to the front porch did not lock & there were windows left unlocked too.
The reservation was for 2 adults + 1 child, yet the only towels left were 1 full size bath towel & 2 hand towels. (All of which were stained!)
On top of the filth & smell, the rooms did not match the photos in this listing. There were some flat pillows, 2 per bed) 1 on the couch, the 1 throw smelled like it had been used as pet bedding.
I called VRBO 2x and text via the VRBO app to report our early departure & was told I did not cancel! STILL DISPUTING CHARGES! VRBO & HOMEOWNER ARE HORRIBLE! Could have been easily resolved, I only asked for cleaning fee + 2 nights refund.

Hi Meghan, sorry for all the situation you went through.
Your complaint was a lot milder in the beginning and we offered a resolution including having a cleaner come in to help with any concerns, which was declined.
We would have refunded you fully at 100% if you canceled your reservation.
That being said, we refunded you 100% of the cleaning fee paid. We also offered you a free 3-night complimentary stay on any of our listings, which was declined.
We went above and beyond to try to rectify the situation as this is not the kind of experience we want our guests to have.
We regret that things did not work out for your stay and we have looked into every single item you mentioned to improve the experience for future guests.

Easy

The directions were easy to follow and the place was easy to find. It was exactly what I wanted with easy access to the highway. The instructions for accessing the cottage and wifi were, well, easy. The pictures accurately portrayed the cute cottage. We had such a good time and enjoyed our stay immensely!

Needs attention.
Publié le 27 mars 2023 sur HomeAwayFloors were not swept or washed. There were sunflower seeds, candy wrappers, dead bugs and sand all over. I swept it all up upon arrival but could only pile it in the corners of the rooms because there was no dustpan. I let the host know right away and he/she said (through VRBO messages). Said they would send the cleaner, never happened. Batteries in the nest thermostat were dead. I let them know and they sent batteries over the next day. I was not going to pull the thermostat and replace them. Dishwasher did not work. Wouldn’t even turn on. Kitchen sink drain leaks and water runs on the floor. I let the host know about all of this. Left a day early. Would not return or recommend.
