A True Paradise

The cottage is on a really nice bend in the river, you can sit on the front porch and just watch it go by. The place is newly updated, very clean and presentable. We would stay here again. Also, check out Animal Adventure Park 5 min away.

Unprofessional and the worst place

Given the discrepancy in the reported number of guests at the residence, the morning communication was perceived as an act of harassment rather than an apology. It is important to note that the presence of guests does not equate to using facilities such as showers.
The abrupt attempt to evict on the first day, without exploring potential resolutions, was disappointing. Additionally, the unauthorized entry into the property during the lease period was a breach of privacy. It is essential to recognize that the landlord's access rights are limited once a property is leased and occupied. The property's location in a remote area, identified as a mobile home rather than a traditional dwelling, was not aligned with personal preferences and expectations. It's crucial to note the distinction between mobile homes and conventional housing, as well as the unsuitability of the property due to its location and type.
The mismatch between expectations and the actual property highlights the need for clear and accurate property descriptions and communication.

this guest should have never booked our place. the guest continued to ask for her dog to stay the next day after she agreed to the resolution. Upon leaving the home on the last day they left the kitchen a mess with dirty dishes, pots and pans. the front door wide open and the lights on.
1. Breached contract.
We came to the home due to your breach of contract which then was cause for cancelation of the contract by bringing a dog to our home. VRBO was on the phone while the conversation took place between parties. We knocked on the door, she answered and stated we had no towels. we told her there is 12. We entered the home to evict the party. During the eviction process, a resolution was agreed upon. The boy and the dog would leave and stay at the dorm.
2. OCCUPANCY
the guest booked the home for 2. Our max booking number of guests is 5. She had over the maximum limit of guests residing with her.
3. Accommodations
We have a common standard 40-gallon hot water heater which is sufficient for guests' needs and the average household.
4. LISTING
our home is clearly depicted with photos and accurate description on VRBO app.
Before your arrival you were asked to read the policies and rules. We had empathy for the family due to a very large SUNY college event taking place this weekend left no vacancies at other hotel/motel which is why we allowed you to remain in our home.

Excellent stay
Publié le 3 sept. 2024 sur HomeAwayThis was our second time staying at waterfront properties. Great place right in front of the river away from the hustle and bustle. Very spacious for 2 people and well appointed. Very clean. Can’t wait to go back for our 3rd visit!

This was a perfect getaway no matter what or who your vacation is for. The owners are nearby if need anything and don't bother you at all. Definitely recommend!!

Relaxing spot

Peaceful riverfront getaway

Lovely Getaway in a Rural Setting
Publié le 10 août 2024 sur HomeAwayThis vacation home was super clean and comfortable (including furniture & beds). Very peaceful and cozy. Sitting on the covered deck enjoying the river view was relaxing. Unfortunately heavy rains prohibited us from doing much (fishing, campfires, etc.), but that's mother nature for ya! Everything is exactly as listed and well cared for. Host was super responsive with any questions I had. I would definitely recommend this property for a quiet getaway on the river.

Nice Getaway to Recharge

The home was well stocked with kitchenware, towels, and everything we possibly could need! The view of the river was very relaxing & we were able to explore the river rock area, giving our kids some outdoor fun. The owners were very nice and easy to connect with.

cute getaway

Swimming was hard cause there were a lot of slppery rocks. Great for kayaking or floating down the river. Peaceful place to relax and enjoy nature.
