An average townhouse - quite small - no service

They are very small (not well maintained) beds and it’s really like 1.5 bathrooms because the upstairs one is very small. If you were a group of 6, this would probably better service your needs. It is an old townhouse and you should expect that - the condition is as such, everything creeks and slants but that is okay - it’s on one of the oldest streets in Windsor so you should expect that! I wouldn’t say this is a luxury townhouse and I wouldn’t recommend it if you’re used to 4 or 5 star hotels. It’s perfectly good for groups on a budget who want the best location in Windsor. The self service laundry features no dryer making it tough to use during a 3 day stay and there are very few amenities considered (no toilet paper beyond 1 roll was left for us, etc - very basics). We felt it impersonal that we got one call to get credit card details and nothing more - not even a text to say thank you and goodbye. There is no service from this apartment at all - one book on a table that to be honest, provided confusing information about parking cards we didn’t need and little more. The photos suggest you’ll walk into something a little more than I say you do - it’s perfectly adequate but it’s the location you’re going for with this place. The actual townhouse, nothing to write home about and the total lack of any friendly people involved made it easy to want to leave quickly. Overall, it is ok but that is it

Firstly, thank you very much for your review of our property, we appreciate you taking the time to comment on your stay with us.
We appreciate your comments regarding the size of the house, when there are 9 Adults in the property it can perhaps be a little busy, however we are comfortable that with 5 bedrooms and two bathrooms, we can provide a bed for up to 9 persons.
We are so sorry that you felt there was a lack of communication, we ensure to communicate with guests as much as needed but provide them with privacy to use the house as if it was their home away from home.
We take all of your comments seriously and will make adjustments where suitable to ensure future guests are more comfortable.

Seven of us stayed at the property for 2 nights. The location is excellent as it is literally yards from the castle. The owner was extremely helpful prior to our stay and checking in was simple with no problems. Tea,coffee, milk fruit and cake was provided and much welcomed as our friends had travelled from Darlington. Property was clean and we had everything we needed. I strongly recommend this property for anyone visiting beautiful Windsor.

Nice spot but several let downs
Publié le 1 févr. 2018 sur ExpediaWe told them we would check in between 5-6. They asked us to text when we were 10 mins out so someone could meet us. Ended up standing outside after giving them 10 min notification with 3 kids in 5 degree temp at night. No toilet paper, severe trip hazard in Kitchen. Daughter and hurt herself. Temp could not be changed and was up at 4 am trying to get heat on as Place was freezing. There solution was a late check out. Cost of place is reasonable as it’s directly across from Windsor castle but 80£ cleaning fee is way to much considering there was no toilet paper and 6 of us staying there. Should have had cleaning fee waved due to insufficient necessities and waiting outside with kids for so long. Disappointing with our trip to Windsor that should have been 10/10

Dear Tim,
I am so sorry to hear about your unfortunate experience, this is not our intention. We appreciate your feedback and hope that you do give us a chance to put it right. I would like to take this opportunity to comment upon your points.
1. We are so sorry that you were left standing outside of the property in the cold upon your arrival. Katie immediately left after your call but became stuck in traffic from a collision on the road, which held her up slightly. Katie was mortified that she left you all stranded and again we apologise.
2. Toilet Paper - This is a mystery to us as we ensure all bathrooms are fully stocked with all the essentials such as Toilet Paper, Shampoo, Soap and Moisturisers etc for all our guests to use. On top of this we include things like milk, fruit, biscuits, tea, coffee and cake in the kitchen as a welcome gift to ensure our guests settle in quickly.
3. Temperature - We have taken your feedback and changed our settings to try and rectify this, however all guests can change the temperature from the heating box on the wall of the lounge and all instructions can be found in the welcome pack. We do also have an emergency phone number to help if there is a problem. I know this doesn't help rectify your problem in the early hours but again we are deeply sorry to hear what happened.
4. Kitchen Trip Hazard - as you mentioned there is a small step into the kitchen, we do hope your daughter is ok. We will be looking to make guests more aware of this in our property moving forward and I am so sorry that this occurred.
