Needs maintenance. Deceptive owner. Gave partial refund for uncleaned apartment.
Publié le 4 sept. 2024 sur HomeAwayOn 4 PM arrival, apartment had not been cleaned. The cleaner arrived at 6 PM and completed cleaning at 7 PM. The pictured bedside lamp didn't have a shade. The owner replaced the lamp and refunded 30% of my first day's rent to compensate for the uncleaned apartment.
As noted by a previous guest, the photos don't show the heavily stained and ridged carpet or two holes punched in the bathroom door. When I asked about those matters, the owner wrote: "There are no issues with the unit." False.
The pictured knife-holder in the kitchen had 4 broken knives. Among the kitchen pots were two with broken handles. The soap dispenser in the dishwasher doesn't open during the wash cycle. One of the burners on the stove doesn't work. Two clocks in the unit, but neither worked. Cigarette burns on the tub and a table.
I had an allergic reaction--possibly due to cat dander--from the sofa.
The building entrance is an alcove that collects leaves, feathers and cigarette butts. In my 12 days, it was swept only once. Otherwise, the entrance was remarkably dirty.
Before booking, I asked about parking. The owner wrote: "There is no fee for the parking. Street parking is available directly in front of the building."
False. All area street parking is paid 8 AM to 5:30 PM. The cheapest area parkade or parking lot is $10 for daytime parking. Street parking is free only 5:30 AM to 8 AM.
This place needs maintenance, and the owner should be more honest.

Great to be so close to downtown, parked in the parkade across the street and walked everywhere. Would certainly stay again.

I liked the central location, with coffee shops and restaurants within walking distance. However the condo unit was a little beaten up; the carpet had bleach stains and was coming up off the floor, there were holes in the bathroom door and even damage to the entrance door of the unit; like someone had tried breaking in. The ceiling vent in the bathroom had never been cleaned - it was growing a wool sweater! No toiletries, oh there was one roll of toilet paper. I don’t think the owner monitors too closely or regularly.
