Charming and well-provisioned
Publié le 16 juin 2024 sur HomeAwayAs a former innkeeper, I appreciate properties where the owner has taken the time to understand what their guests value in a rental property. This one ticks all the boxes. The property is perfectly located in downtown Winnsboro within walking distance of the farmers market, restaurants and the Bowery arts district. The home has been lovingly restored with all of the modern ammenities one would expect. It's clean and well decorated, with art from local artists on every wall. The 12' ceilings create a spacious feel in every room. The kitchen has plenty of utensils, dishes and cookware for complete meal prep. Comfortable beds with quality linens complete the look. I highly recommend it for 4 or fewer guests.

Publié le 1 oct. 2022 sur HomeAwayThis beautifully renovated cottage was the perfect place to stay for my sister and me, while visiting family in Winnsboro. The owner has thought of everything that one might need, including white noise devices to help reduce the sound of the trains that rumble by and blow their whistles during the night. We were welcomed with a bottle of wine (although we opted for the bottled water in the fridge) and little loaves of spice breads from the farmers market. Communication was excellent, including the kind offer to mail my flip flops to me that I had left behind. I would have rated it 5 stars in every category except for the close proximity to the train tracks and the confusing listing regarding the number of bathrooms. (It has one lovely full bath and a toilet/sink within the laundry room.) I’m looking forward to a return visit to Carnegie Cottage next time I’m in Winnsboro!
