Richard is amazing! Very well kept and quiet B&B. Breakfast was 5 courses done right. Do yourself a favor and book here you will not regret it.

Very knowledgable and friendly staff. Enjoyed the house and the history of it. Best breakfast ever at a B&B. Will stay here again!

The mansion is a beautiful historic property. Richard is a most knowledgeable and gracious host, and we thoroughly enjoyed our stay. The attention to detail is impeccable, and the breakfast was beyond delicious. Everything was perfect! We will definitely return. It's a true gem.

This is the best B&B around. I hate sharing the review because more people will stay. Richard and David are the perfect hosts. The rooms are lovely and the breakfast is more than you could ask for. The only negative is the white wine should be chilled during the wine social. Each day they white wine was warm. However, if that's the only negative, then it's a WIN. Winona is a wonderful town and it's great to explore when the college students are not yet in attendance. The B&B is full of history and Richard gives a wonderful story of the history. Will definitely stay again.

Dear MaryLou,Thank you for your kind and generous review. Yes the white wine should have been chilled. You are most kind for letting us get by on that by still giving us a "5."There is a sort of sad tale regarding the wine. We were running low so I drove to the wine store and quickly picked up more. When I returned to the inn I was distracted by something and left the wine in the hot car. When I remembered and went back to the car, other guests had arrived and they all wanted white wine. I explained it was warm but they wanted it anyway. So the warm wine saga began. I put a second bottle in the fridge, but it was pretty soon that I needed to serve it- so it to was not properly chilled. At some point after that I dropped the wine ball. Thank you again for your review I'm doing better with the wine now. Best wishes, Rich

Loved our time and visit. The inn owners were great and extremely friendly and caring. The sit down breakfast with a full course of breakfast items and dessert was amazing. The entire place feels like Downton Abbey has been moved over to Winona! We felt we got dropped back to a prior century with all the quaint touches. All in all - quite an experience!
