Good dining options, bar is good, the owner is good, have a pool, we watch in the big screen the NRL final on the courtyard, has a lift no worries if you have big bags to carry, we love our 4 days stay while sightseeing around town.

While room very basic and showing age - it was clean and the restaurant had good selection and very tasty. Also excellent having a lift for movement impaired visitors. Only real issue was shower head flying off when I was showering and hitting me in head.

A great old hotel. Its a little past its prime, but its got history and atmosphere and the room is comfortable. The staff are friendly, the food is good, its very good value and its where I always choose to stay in Winton.

The young manager was very calm following the whole town of Winton suffering a blackout sometime in the early AM and the power did not comeback on until 8 am.

We spent 2 nights here to visit the Dinosaur museum. It's a bit dated, but it was very convenient for walking to Arno's Wall, and the Waltzing Matilda museum. The bed was comfortable and the shower was good. Staff were very friendly and helpful. The meals we had were good. Our room faced the road, directly above some outdoor seating, so it was a bit noisy on Saturday night with people talking and laughing. On Sunday, in the beer garden, there was a bush poet, Greg North, followed by Matt Scullion. Matt played several instruments and sang songs he had written himself. He was excellent. Listening to them was unexpected and very enjoyable.

The room was not serviced daily. The shower curtain did not reach the floor so the water splashed out and made the floor slippery and unsafe. Very good meals and dining service, very good entertainment.
