Just what we needed after a long day out ....a clean ,comfortable room and the dinner in the bar/restaurant was excellent

The location was ideal for what we had come to the area for, the staff were very friendly and helpful and the portions of food for both lunch and dinner were far too much for the average person.
On the down side, no breakfast. A chewy bar is not my ideal way to start the day and I would have much preferred a feather filled pillow

Hello,Thank you for taking the time to leave a review of our Pub, its rooms and restaurant. I'm glad that you enjoyed your stay. We are currently looking at how we can re-start breakfast in the near future. The cafe across the road is for now the only option , and I have to say do a pretty good breakfast!The bedding in general is hypoallergenic so man main fires are used, this is so our valued and discerning guests don't react adversely to the fillings etc.Thanks again

Hello Dean,Thank you for taking the time to leave feedback with regards to your stay.It looks like you generally enjoyed your stay, I'm sorry if you found our standard double to small, we do offer a larger queen size superior room but unfortunate you did not book that. I'm very concern that you found areas of your room dirty, I personally inspected you room (along with all the others) that morning and thought they were very much to our very high standard.I will of course speak to our housekeeper urgently!Thanks again for staying with us.Kind regards

Overpriced and under services
Publié le 17 mars 2024 sur HotelsA high £161 overnight with no breakfast. And no breakfast available either. Smallest double beds and poor linen. Shame as the pub and style is great. But value very low. . Won’t be going again

Hello,Thank you for taking the time to review our Pub, Restaurant and Rooms.Our standard double beds are the uk recognised standard double bed, the superior rooms do have Super-king beds if you choose that option for future stays then im sure you will be more than happy with that size of bed.I'm sorry that you didn't see that we are room only, we do ensure it is clear when booking and it is also in the confirmation email we sent you, we are sorry you missed that.
