Publié le 16 oct. 2024 sur HomeAwayAwesome location, wonderful property! Not possible to have a bad stay here. Kitchen is great as well. Host communication was excellent. Only issues were that the boat was not very clean and there were lots of (mostly dead) flies in the house. Overall great!

Thank you for staying at our place, I apologize for the issues you experienced. We've talked with our cleaning people to make sure the boat gets cleaned better. On windy days, the boat lift doesn't always completely protect the boat and debris can still get into the boat, and our folks are supposed to stay on top of this.
I'm sorry to hear about the flies, we recently did a large remodel and it may have created some gaps or cracks in areas of the siding that were impacted by the work, potentially providing a place for them to get in. We've scheduled a full evaluation and seal of the siding to make sure there are no spaces that would allow anything in, and are hopeful this will resolve the problem you experienced.

Simply amazing!
Publié le 1 août 2024 sur HomeAwayThe property exceeded our expectations! The kitchen is laid out great for a big group and had the things we needed to cook daily. The lily pad was a HUGE hit with the kids. We used it daily. Having a boat to rent was also great. Kids fished from the dock and were pulling them in left and right which was helpful for kids learning. The lake is quiet and peaceful. Sunsets are priceless and eagles were flying around throughout the days. Having access to the kayaks was also nice. The only downside, which wasnt really an issue, was the AC didn’t seem to cool down the main floor bedrooms. But having fans there helped. We wanted to book again but the property was already taken for the week we needed. But definitely on the short list for the future.

It is one of the few properties that meet our wants list of privacy, small lake with no speedboats, river access to other lakes via canoe/kayak, fire pit by the lake, nice accommodations and peaceful!
The daily sightings of Bald Eagles/Loons is a huge plus and the fishing from the pier is always good as well.

The home feels brand-new - it's spotless, beautiful, and thoughtfully organized for guests (labels on everything, clear instructions, lots of special touches). We loved the well-stocked kitchen, canoes/kayaks, beach, pool table, and the location can't be beat. The owner went above and beyond in everything, and the communication from start to finish was fantastic. Bring bug spray, the mosquitos are intense in the Northwoods!
