Not for those who value sleep and needing to work

Publié le 26 juill. 2023 sur HomeAway
Upon arrival it looked like the listing but the listing of course doesn’t show you the dead bugs (bumble bees in the window sills and cockroaches and thousand loggers in the kitchen), the fact it smells like moth balls, or that the pink spots on the carpets and rugs are likely bodily fluids since the only people that would be comfortable here are drunken frat boys. There’s zero natural light and the lights available don’t really help. I was there for remote working, which I had mentioned to the owner, and they failed to mention it was the lower level unit of two, which I could actually hear every sneeze and each foot step shook the entire ceiling. I couldn’t sleep. I couldn’t work. I called or texted every day. They would warn the unit above us but it wasn’t their fault — this bottom unit is not livable. You can’t expect people to not walk around or sneeze. I’ve lived in bottom apartments and this was awful nothing like I’ve lived in before. The washer and dryer are so tight in the one bathroom you can’t bend over into the washer bc of the sink. The beds were okay. Clean sheets thankfully. TVs worked great. Only time we were happy was at the end of the night watching TV which happiness came to an abrupt end when the unit upstairs would still be awake after we were ready to go to bed. We booked over a month and didn’t stay a five full days due to the lack of sleep and ability to work. My husbands ongoing medical treatment even suggest we left the property.
