The cabin is uniquely placed alongside a private gravel lane just a short drive from Salt Fork State Park and sits on a little over 2.5 acres. Listen to the creek below and the song birds as you sit on the huge wrap around deck or front porch. Wooly Bear Retreat offers peace, seclusion, and a very high quality, upscale experience. This cabin was just built and is now ready for guests.

Absolutely wonderful cabin and host! We have been to quite a few vacation rentals over the past few years and Joe and his cabin are abovr and beyond! Communication was easy and always friendly. I cant say enough good about the host or property!

Quiet Weekend Getaway
The cabin was perfect for our getaway--very clean, quiet & secluded. We enjoyed sitting on the front & back porch areas, drinking our coffee, or eating our breakfast, lunch dinners plus having the use of a fire pit--wish we'd made s'mores! The refrigerator was very well stocked with water bottles, which we used to make several pots of coffee each morning!! Other basic amenities were very adequate also. We were glad to be able to cook our own food there. We only ventured away from the cabin to go enjoy The Living Word Outdoor Drama in nearby Cambridge, OH. We truly enjoyed our peaceful getaway especially made more memorable by the gorgeous fall weather! Joe was a very gracious host, funny too!

Comfortable Clean Cozy
We had a wonderful stay at this small, comfortable, clean and cozy cabin. Joe the host was the best host we’ve ever had and we have stayed in many VRBO’s all over the world!! His generous hospitality was more than evident when we entered the cabin with a bin full of fire wood (which Joe replenished mid week) and the refrigerator stocked with cold bottled water, was two examples! The cabin had all the necessary kitchen items and the gas grill on the deck was clean and gas was plentiful, accompanied with all necessary clean grilling tools. We lived sitting on the front porch in the two rockers! The fire pit area is very comfortable. I highly recommend staying at Joes place — I promise you will NOT be disappointed! 10 out of 10….thanks again Joe!!

Weekend getaway
Gotta say for a quick weekend getaway I couldn’t have picked a better spot. Secluded, quiet and able to get to anything in 15-20 mins was awesome. Cabin was in great shape and the charm is excellent. Only thing I would have liked added was a TV upstairs in the loft due to it’s the bedroom. Plan to book again in the future.

Perfect Cabin
New and modern cabin just 5 minutes from the Salt Fork Marina. Joe was the best host and this was by far the nicest cabin we have ever rented. Joe was so accommodating and thought of every detail right down to condiments, bottled water & pop in the fridge. We plan to stay here again the next time we visit!

Super cute cottage
Everything you need for a quilt get away. The kitchen is fully stocked with Everything you need. Bathroom has a nice walk in shower. Much nicer than the cabins at saltfork. And cheaper. And you can be in the park in minutes. And there's a cute little garden center/antique store. Called the pot house. That is super cool. Great place overall. Will definitely be back.

A Very Relaxing Getaway

Wonderful cabin and experience!
We absolutely loved this cabin which was perfect for my husband and myself. Between the kitchen, wifi, furnishings and everything else in the property description we had everything we needed. It was extremely clean and well maintained which is very important to us. Communication with the owner was prompt, clear, and helpful. We will definitely return for another stay.

Relaxing Retreat
The cabin was immaculate, well-appointed, and surrounded by nature. Although off the beaten path, there were plenty of things-to-do within a close proximity. Of course, sitting on the wraparound deck reading a book & drinking a glass of wine was wonderful as well. The host was super! Highly recommend!
