Check in was a bit difficult as the receptionist was confused with the English name. The location was optimal and close to the metro and the main streets. The room I reserved was non smoking, but my neighbors were all smoking so the smoke seeped into my room. The noise level was also very loud. The bathroom was acceptable. Overall, would recommend for the price but not for a mediocre experience.

Pros: It was a bed to sleep in. That's all I needed.
Cons: If the staff at the desk employed someone that spoke English or had an app to translate English - Chinese, it could have helped a lot.
Location: The hotel is located next to the Walking Street. Lots of restaurants, stores, banks & ATM's and sometimes performances such as Kaboki theater.
Staff is friendly, but absolutely no English spoken. Therefore, ensure you have an English - Chinese translator app on your smart phone, or a friend that can translate for you.
The hotel is adequate, no frills, and you may not have a window with a view. However, the hotel is very close to the new subway station on the walking street. Much better than taking the bus or taxi, a whole lot faster, and it's AIR CONDITIONED!!!!! (Just thought you'd want to know).

Posted Sep. 27, 2014 on HotelsNot much English, but they trying hard to give you a 110% service. We had three rooms, all very nice in old European style, homey, clean, every day fresh towels, bed made or freshly dressed, they read your wishes from your eyes, friendly, the in-house restaurant has a classy outlay with divine food choices, however no sweet brickie and if they would have an order-card with pictures to point at would be great. Bakery out to the left, shopping mall below street level, across the street and beyond there are two more. A sensible price for a place that has all the ticks. Minor repairs are ongoing and the clean-freak team is hard on their heals all day.

A good place to stay, for the price
Posted Jul. 15, 2012 on HotelsThe employees were very friendly and accomodating. One front desk person spoke some English and was especially helpful. I have stayed in several hotels in China, but this staff was the best I have encountered. One complaint: the TV did not have good reception.
