We were given a sea view upgrade and just loved it. Will be back asap. Thank you Lynette for your thoughtfulness. We really appreciated it and your enthusiasm was wonderful.

Excellent stay. Lighting not very good in bathroom. Othrtwise accommodation was very good.

Room With No View

Accommodation of this caliber should have at least a 50” to 55” TV not a 26” to 32” TV like my room? Most homes nowadays have at least a 55” to 65” TV. Also a couple of biscuits would have been a nice touch, as most hotels in this price bracket give you a couple of biscuits.

Very small rooms with shared vestibule and laundry with the adjacent room. Laundry is a washer and dryer in one which takes 3 hours to do one load of laundry. Hot water takes 6 minutes to arrive to the room and told “just run the tap until the water comes up” Many dust balls on ceiling above bed. Bathtub floor unstable with crack that opens with pressure. Not the friendliest of staff.

Thank you Aaron for taking the time to post a review. We have logged your concerns with housekeeping regarding the dust balls on the ceiling and your advice regarding the bath tub with maintenance. Unfortunately the hot water system and one big system for the whole building which is why it takes longer to filter through to each apartment. Thank you again for your valuable feedback.

We arrived late at Oshen’s and the late check-in was flawless, went very smoothly. That night after a very long 600km drive, going to bed all you could hear was the water in the pipes right behind the bed, from people showering on the floors above, the walls must be very thin. The second night was the same, very noisy pipes, again hard to sleep. But to add to the noisy pipes, the wind was smashing our door and it sounded like people trying to beak in! Not good when you don’t know the area. Another sleepless night was enjoyed! Went to reception the next morning to notify them of the banging door issue and we were giving a piece of cardboard to wedge in the door. Next morning, shower time, as we had plans to meet people for breakfast, go to take a shower, no hot water!! Left the shower running for 25 minutes, still cold water. Rang reception and asked if there was an issue they knew about, “Just leave it running, this building is like that” Personally, we will never stay there again, I will not recommend it to anyone either. If you have a choice between the local Back Packers and Oshen’s… Book the Back Packers. I would not normally give a review this hash however the responses we got to issues were not helpful at all.

Mark - considering you chose to SMOKE on the patio (at a NON-Smoking complex) with your partner, with no consideration for others around you, despite multiple notifications and a direct request to please smoke in the designated smoking area - this seems like a bit of nonsense - 4th level room with 10mm thick cyclone rated glass door, secure and not rattling - hot water from central hot water system in working order - internal pipes through-out complex - weather (windy) ! - have a fabulous day :-) - Oshen
