Excellent hotel centrally located

Pour : Really liked the warm welcome and the old building atmosphere.
Contre : On the downside, there is no air conditioning. We were there during very hot summer days. The hotel provided two electric fans.
Very good looking old building located right next to the York minster. Central to every York attraction. Shopping/dining district just outside the hotel. Hotel itself has a very good restaurant. Staff offers a very friendly welcome - they will show you around the hotel and take you to your room.

Personnel très courtois. Propre. Bon restaurant. Bel édifice.

Best location in town to stay. Westminster Abbey visible from the breakfast windows.

Across the street from train station. Easy walk to town center. Fabulous breakfast.

Overall the staff was great. The receptionist, manager, and various other very helpful staff.
The only negative I had was during breakfast. I had to go on the hunt to find a person to order from after waiting and watching others eat for 10 minutes. The young lady that did finally take our order seemed bothered and she never once came back to our table, even though she continued to wait on all the the other tables in the restaurant.
The breakfast was good though, as was the dinner the night before.
We would definitely stay there again.
