Belle chambre confortable. Bon lit. Mais le service de petit-déjeuner nest pas à la hauteur du style de l'hôtel.
Thé servi tiède. Café oublié... Beurre et confiture amenés par une serveuse et déposés sur la table sans coupelle ou petite assiette... Aucune demande pour savoir si nous étions ok ou avions besoin d'un autre café ou de toasts...

Beautiful hotel
Publié le 6 août 2024 sur HotelsWhat a beautiful hotel with fabulous decor and planting. Our room was spacious and very comfortable - the only slight negative was that the air con didn’t work. We were very pleased to find an in-room fridge and complimentary bottled water on a hot day. The staff provided exemplary service with a smile. Would absolutely stay again and recommend to others.

Beautiful property. Really clean and well designed. We were very pleased with our room, bed was the most comfortable I’ve slept in! Shower lovely - hot and powerful. Only issue was a noisy family who were staying in the room above us, kept us awake at night and woke us very early in the morning. Due to wooden flooring and children running on the floors it impacted the quality of our sleep which was very disappointing. Parking wasn’t an issue as plenty of space. We had an evening meal in the restaurant which was delicious but the service was not particularly friendly or welcoming sadly. We would have expected a higher calibre of friendly staff for such a lovely hotel.

Even though one or two down points. A funny smell in the stairwell carpet in the corridor looks a bit worn, and little bits in the room not cleaned properly ( hair pins on the floor and used toilet roll behind the door) but apart from that it was a great stay.

Very friendly service. Beautiful hotel and we both found very clean, traditional for an aged english building. We were able to park the car at the venue 3 hours early for no extra charge which allowed us to make the most of our time. Breakfast was very good, and there was an option to sit outside which was ideal as we got lucky with the weather. Bar is open till 1am also.

We loved this hotel - the people who work here are all awesome, our room was wonderful and York has got to be the best kept secret in England. Most highly recommend this hotel for any leisure traveler.
