Sticky experience.

Excellent site location, great staff & food, room was clean except for very dirty & sticky floor. Room on upper floor rear face had a major floor maintenance issue, I needed to clean my sleepers to remove the sticky stuff !

Tres chouette petit hotel dans un pub

Memes proprios que le lamb lion inn, pas donné mais tres confortable, super bien placé. Un poil bruyant mais rien de trop dérangeant. Personnel adorable, délicieux petit dej et excellent restaurant.

Disappointing and OVERPRICED!

Yes, it is right in the middle of the beautiful town center of York and, Yes, it is the birth place of Guy Fawkes, BUT apart from that, it is very DISAPPOINTING!!! The room was far from being perfect for the price we paid for it, we had to pay for parking (10min walk from hotel) and the worse was that we could hear people, in the room next door, talking... Basically, for the same price, I could have had a much better room in a hotel chain...

Great location and lovely staff in the pub and restaurant. Clean and comfortable and unique. Our room window faced the beer garden so was a bit noisy, best to ask for a room other than 12 if that would bother you. Could use better lighting for reading, otherwise was a wonderful stay.

Ice ice baby

We stayed in the suite and it was extremely cold there was no heating in the room and the portable heater they provided was not working, shower was warm not hot which was a massive let down as the room itself was nice clean and spooky.

Very unique property with amazing views of the minster and so incredibly close! We stayed in the top room which is basically its own apartment, such a great view of the minster and super quirky room! This room didn't disappoint and was amazing. You're paying for the location and be mindful it is an inn, not a hotel, therefore service / check in is done at the bar. This was a little suprising and concerning at first given the hotel price paid, HOWEVER, you are paying for a stunning view, location and awesome rooms.

We loved the history and quirkyness of this inn. We were worried that the restaurant noise would keep us up but we heard nothing in our room.Easy walking to everything. Loved Guy Fawkes and would absolutely stay there again!
