Not sure what all the high reviews are about. Hotel has seen better days, shabby and could do with a deep clean. Restaurant was excellent though

Couldn't have asked for a better stay in York. The room was superb, and the staff was top-notch. Felt like I was a guest at a close friend's house instead of a random guest at a hotel. Already started recommending this place to friends planning a trip to York later this year. Thank you for your wonderful hospitality!

Fantastic stay all round. Room was lovely, so touched with the little extras for our baby (tipi and toys in room and cot all setup). Food at the hotel restaurant was really good, and spa was amazing.

The staff - particularly Laurina, as well as the Spa Team - were exceptional. We attended in August 2024 for our minimoon, and cannot recommend the Guesthouse enough! Our stay was 10/10, and we will definitely be coming back! Thank you from us for all the team - you made it extra special!
