Avis Kimte Beach Lodge

Dear Daniel, we are very sorry you didn't enjoy Kimte Beach Lodge. The lodge is a small and easy place right on the beach, locals come here too to have a drink and a chat with guests and we sometimes have parties and live music. We struggle to do our best to offer a simple but authentic experience to our guests. Probably it wasn't the right place for you and/or you had very different expectations. About our services: we do provide daily room cleaning service, we do have curtains on all the windows, our restaurant prices are on averange for Zanzibar (still much cheaper than in your country, we are pretty sure!) and restaurant service can be slow according to the number of guests, like anywhere else in the world. About water and power cuts: we are on an island in Africa, water shortage and electricity cuts can happen. We do have our own water tank and generator in case of emergency but they can only supply for some time. During your stay there was a big fire in Jambiani, sadly it destroyed several resorts. We are sure you were aware ot if and you could easily understand why there were power cuts and water shortage. It would have happened in your country too! About the heat in your room: normally November is short rain season, but not this year. Climate is changing here too and we experienced an unusual heat wave. We do have ceiling fans in all the rooms and standing fans on requests too.
