Cozy place near the lake
Publié le 2 déc. 2024 sur HomeAwayWe spent three nights here over the Thanksgiving holiday. Cozy cabin space with fireplace. The period decor was great--right out of the 1950's but clean and well-maintained. The staff were extremely friendly and helpful--we hit some local hills for early season sledding and they set us up with sleds and helmets. We will be back!

After changing your dates for you , which I am not required to do, I would have thought you would have left a better review. The unit was not specified on this booking, but all the units are the same size with different furniture. I dont see how we misrepresented anything. The area is easy to walk a dog around., so Im not sure why you would say that. The grocery store is .9 miles away, which doesnt seem far to most people, and as for as the age of the units, yes it was built in the 50's , which is obvious by our pictures. I think you were extremely unfair giving us a 1 rating. If you wanted a more updated room you should have booked else where. Although most places as you know dont accept dogs, especially 2. I gave you a good review dispite the rudeness we recieved.

Labor Day 2023 get away
Publié le 5 sept. 2023 sur HomeAwayProperty could use a new couch. The leather was literally falling apart. Parking was a little tight because apparently the complex has been undergoing construction, also the pool and spa were drained.

You can tell it used to be a nice place to stay
Publié le 28 août 2023 sur HomeAwayVERY ran down . Rustic is a major understatement . It should not be called a resort . Grandfathered property that does not meet proper safety standards . Many shanties with tarps causing it to look like a homeless encampment.
Nice atmosphere because it’s in Tahoe . Wasn’t the most uncomfortable bed. You can tell this place used to be awesome but unfortunately it’s massively misrepresented in the listing . Pool has been closed for years, no market as stated, no cable as stated, no Internet that actually worked.. obviously won’t be back.

Not accurate description

I purposefully book places for my kids with a pool and a hot tub for my mother since she has cronic pain. Also while showering the entire large head of shower fell on me.

First off, our listing says our pool and hot tub are closed. The head of the shower was never reported during their stay and was found on the floor of the shower by the maid. Not sure how it " fell off " considering what it took to repair it. Again, no report was made to our maintenance staff. I am sorry that she didnt report this as we could have fixed it for their stay. I also noticed there was no mention of the fact that due to a death in her family, she requested to change her booking dates at the last minute and we only charged her a small fee for that, when we could have not refunded any money at all, and charged full price for the 2nd booking. If she hadmentioned the pool and tub confusion, we could have tried to give her access to another pool and hot tub near by. Communication is VERY important.

Perfect Getaway

It's close to everything you want to do in South Lake and way more reasonable than most lodgings in the area. Can't wait to get back!
