Beau chalet, bien équipe, convivial, propre, une vue splendide. Accès en taxi, mais a pieds monter de Zermatt il faut aimer marcher, si vous compter rester plus d`une semaine.

Nice view. Chalet unfortunately s just a few hundred meters above Zermatt's heliport.
Publié le 6 sept. 2018 sur HomeAwayView on the Matterhorn is nice, probably magic in the winter. Chalet is correctly furbished not more. Unfortunately chalet is, due to its particular situation (northern part of Zermatt, few hundred meters above heliport), probably one of the most exposed to sic "high season helicopter activity". We obviously checked with heliport if rotations were not linked to an accident which of course we would have understood. After 3 nights we decided to leave. No refund was obtained. Sarah being the daughter of a helicopter instructor (yes ...) we are generally not too sensitive to air traffic but at Praborgne during our stay noise was rely unbearable. Michel Cornelissen.

Amanda and I are truly sorry that you did not enjoy your holiday at Chalet Bergheim. We have put our heart and sole into renovating the chalet and pride ourselves on the fact that everyone who stays with us loves the place as much as we do. Unfortunately helicopters are a fact of life in the mountains, particularly in Zermatt. The helipad is quite near to us but we are no nearer than the rest of the northern part of Zermatt, also the helicopters are only allowed to fly during limited hours in the morning and afternoon (unless emergencies). We have never before, in six years of renting the chalet, received a complaint about the noise. However, we agree that it would certainly be better without them!

Magnifique petit chalet
Publié le 8 févr. 2018 sur HomeAwayLe chalet bénéficie d'une vue extraordinaire sur le village et sur le Cervin. L'intérieur est très chaleureux, bien aménagé et fonctionnel. La distance au village peut parfois être contraignante mais cela est plus que compensé par le cadre et la proximité des pistes.

Beste Unterkunft ever!
Publié le 16 sept. 2024 sur HomeAwayUmwerfendes Haus, perfekte Mischung zwischen alt und neu. Wundervolle Umgebung - "im Grünen" - und dennoch nahe beim Dorf (mit Taxi in 12 Minuten erreichbar, CHF 50). Wir wollten nicht mehr weg. ;)

Loved everything about it
Publié le 27 juin 2024 sur HomeAwayFamily of 5 travelling from the USA. Everything about Chalet Bergheim was perfect. The host is very responsive and accommodating. The Chalet is in excellent condition and in a beautiful location with excellent views. It has a very tasteful blend of modern amenities with the charm of a traditional Swiss Chalet. We thoroughly enjoyed the hot tub, and we loved the escape from the business of Zermatt which is just a short hike away. I cannot wait to visit again and again.

Wonderful Home and incredible location

Chalet Bergheim is a Treasure
Publié le 25 juin 2023 sur HomeAwayWhile I have rented many properties over my life, seldom has a location so exceeded my expectations as did Chalet Bergheim over the course of the two weeks we spent there.
The property was exceedingly quiet, but located just 15 minutes by foot from downtown Zermatt. There can be no better view of the Matterhorn from all the valley than that afforded by the deck at the front to the Chalet. The hot tub and the wood burning stove were excellent amenities and there is simply not a room in the chalet that does not have a breathtaking view of either the Matterhorn and associated peaks to the south or all the way to the Nesthorn in the north, across the Rhone.
We had breakfast and Dinner every day on the Deck and spent the mornings and afternoons hiking the myriad trails into the surrounding high country. Simply stunning. We will certainly be back.
