Start by making your way through an ancient monastic complex in the Goreme Valley carved out of a mountain’s living stone. These famous churches were one of the most important centers of early Christianity. Then attend a ceramics workshop and learn about the red clay that made this region a famous for its pottery production.
The next day it’s on to the Derinkuyu Underground City, a spectacular complex of underground and partially-subterranean dwellings, stables, and a majestic cathedral, all carved directly into the soft sandstone. Between stops, visit wine cellars, olive oil refineries, and delicious local restaurants and stay in a luxurious hotel.

Day 1: Early Christianity in Cappadocia
Visit the ruined Churches in Cappadocia valley before travelling to an ancient centre of pottery production. Stay in a 3-star hotel.
Day 2: Derinkuyu and Nar Crater
Go for a short hike in the Ihlara Valley before visiting the magnificent underground city of Derinkuyu, then head to Nar Crater.
