Just 45 minutes from our nation’s capital is one of America’s most historic cities—Annapolis, the State capital of Maryland and home of the United States Naval Academy. Once called the “Athens of America”, this beautiful city served as the nation’s capital from November 26, 1783 to August 19, 1784.
Annapolis was settled in 1649 by Puritan exiles from Virginia. The community had a series of names, including Providence and Anne Arundel Town, until finally named Annapolis in 1694, honouring Princess Anne of England. The city’s location alongside the world-famous Chesapeake Bay enables it to be a prime location for fishing and
boating. While you are here, enjoy some delicious Maryland crab dishes for lunch at one of the amazing dockside restaurants!
Together, we will explore the colonial history of the region with a scenic walking tour. Plus, we will join trained military experts for an exclusive tour inside the Navy Academy. This half-day experience includes pick-up and drop-off at your hotel, Airbnb, or residence!
