What you can expect

Originally built in 1891, the ‘Gamla Laugin’ is Iceland’s first swimming pool. Spend time in this relaxing setting feeling your worries slip away. A natural hot spring feeds the lagoon with 38-39°C water that bubbles up from deep within the earth at a rate of 10 litres per second, constantly replenishing itself so that there is a steady supply of fresh clean water in the pool at any given time, letting you rest as long as you need.

Enjoy brand new facilities at the Secret Lagoon including changing rooms, showers, resting rooms, bar and restaurant area. Situated in a remote location in Fluðir, the Secret Lagoon is just an hour away from Geysir, 1 hour and 20 minutes from Reykjavik and 2 hours from Vik making it a great desination on your trip to Iceland.

THE BEST and most authentic lagoon to visit in Iceland! You can stay all day until it closes at 7pm if you wish!! Lovely cafe area, huge changing rooms. Jacuzzi spring and ice bath. Round the edges of the lagoon are the hottest water ever. It was so relaxing and we paid £74 for 3 adults and a child. We drove there ourselves, probably the cheapest activity we did in Iceland yet it lasted the longest!

Was an excellent experience, large lagoon with an amazing volcanic gravel floor. Really felt just a step away from nature you can see geysers going and how they heat the pool!

I loved the location and simple layout What could be improved was the busy changing rooms : there were only 2 toilets so you had to queue for a while and it , was a bit crammex and very busy compared to other spas I have visited in Iceland However outside if didn’t appear busy abd was very enjoyable

Beautiful water, great experience, a little pricey but everything was pricey in Iceland.

So fun!! Had a glass of wine in the lagoon, and just enjoyed! Be aware that there is nudity in the bathrooms because you’re required to shower before sans swimsuit. And my towel was knocked into a pile of water by someone, so I had to get a new one. But other than those small things, wonderful!

The secret lagoon is one of the most relaxed lagoons you can go to. Smaller than others but less touristy! Definitely one to add to any list of things to do in South West Iceland.

Very good experience ! The water was so warm, very cool when it’s cold outside ! During our day, they was a lot of people around 11:00 but no one around 12:00. You can stay as long as you want. The showers and locker rooms are very clean. Experience highly recommended
