Craigdarroch Castle

Built by coal baron Robert Dunsmuir during the reign of Queen Victoria and now a National Historic Site, Craigdarroch Castle has been meticulously restored, giving visitors a glimpse of privileged life in the 1890s. *Typical tours include an exterior visit with options for photos at the grounds. Please specify in your booking if you would like to tour the inside of the Castle (approx. 45 minute stop).

The Prince and Princess Abkhazi began creating their garden in 1946, the year they married and settled in Victoria, after living separate lives touched by privilege and tragedy. They immediately began to develop their one-acre property, and continued to maintain and improve the garden throughout their lives together. With options for high-tea at the Abkhazi tea room.
