What you can expect

The top Chichen Itza tour from Playa del Carmen and Cancun, swim in the mysterious waters of a sacred cenote and visit the charming Colonial town of Valladolid for a trip back in time. Authentic Yucatan lunch included!

This is a must-do Chichen Itza tour from Playa del Carmen or Cancun! A Mayan ruins tour of Chichen Itzá with an expert guide is the number one excursion for visitors looking for a day trip to the Yucatan. With safe and comfortable return transport, your specially certified bilingual guide and driver will pick you up at your hotel or the meeting point to set off on the journey through the jungle to a different world.

**Immerse yourself in nature at a jungle eco-park in the Yucatan and marvel at the sacred cenote as you refresh yourself with a purifying swim in crystalline waters. A cenote is a feature unique to the Yucatan Peninsula, an ancient limestone sinkhole in the earth created over thousands of years of natural magic. Cenotes are considered the entryway to the underworld and are sacred sites, a swim in a cenote is truly a once in a lifetime Yucatan adventure.

Dig in to a delicious buffet lunch at the restaurant at the eco-park, and be ready for a flavour sensation! Yucatan regional food is truly out of this world and addictive. Mexican cuisine is designated by UNESCO as an “Intangible Cultural Heritage of Humanity” for good reason and the dishes from Yucatan are some of the most unique and flavourful. Foodies are going to love this!**

After your incredible buffet, you’ll head to the world-famous Mayan ruins of Chichen Itzá. Take a guided tour of the ceremonial site and listen to fascinating tales of the ancient Mayan civilisation. Your bilingual guides are true experts in the Mayan civilisation and their knowledge and entertaining stories of life at Chichen Itza are an immersion in a culture that was way ahead of its time.

Your final stop is in the colonial centre of Valladolid for a quick visit to this charming Magic Town of Mexico. The imposing church and architecture of the town surrounding the “zocalo'' or town square are perfect photo ops and a chance to relax and enjoy the laid-back vibes of Yucatan.

I recently encountered a situation that left me deeply dissatisfied and frustrated. The service I received was far below the standard I expected. The assistance was ineffective, with staff members showing a lack of interest and expertise in resolving my concerns. Communication was poor, leaving me confused and uninformed about the process and progress. The overall experience was exasperating, marked by delays, miscommunications, and a clear disregard for customer satisfaction. This really bad experience and lack of proper assistance have significantly impacted my view of the organization and my willingness to engage with them in the future.

Alot of time spent with long stops to pick up other guests, 45 min at one stop. First stop at Maya village/restaurant felt like a sales pitch. Tour guides were very knowledgeable. Ride was comfortable. Would have liked to go straight to Chichen Itza. By the time we got there were were exhausted and hot. The Xenote was wonderful. Really enjoyed that. The tour guides were top notch. They were really great.

The tour was nice and the tour guides were amazing but they took over an hour to pick us up from the resort and I couldn’t get in contact with anyone to find out if they were even coming. The other thing I didn’t like was that all of the activities were rushed!

The tour of Chichen Itza was informative, but short (only about an hour with guide and a hour on our own). The rest of the tour was more for touring the various tourists souvenier booths. The ceyote site was excellent but too short and should have been after Chichen Itza not before. A lot of time spent there and at another town with a very old church were wasted going through the various tourists souvenier booths. When we left for our hotel, we were told that the bus can not take us back there because they do not allow buses on that street which is completely untrue. There is a major bus company 1 block away on the same street. we were dropped off in central Playa del Carmen and we had to get a taxi back to our hotel, even though they advertise transportation to and from hotel!! Kind of spoiled the experience for us!
