What you can expect

A little slice of paradise, the Cinque Terre's 5 villages possess beauty that must be seen to be believed. Marvel at the small apartment blocks, coloured in pastel shades of blue, green, and orange, clinging to the sides of the rugged cliffs bordering the serene waters of the Ligurian Sea.

Upon arrival at the Italian Riviera, get ready to experience villages that are refreshingly untouched by modern life. With few roads into the villages, the best way to access them is by the cliff-side walkways that link them together. These walkways offer breathtaking views of the houses clustered below.

Start your visit from Manarola, where you will be free to explore on your own before taking the local train to Monterosso al Mare. Hop aboard a boat in Monterosso al Mare and cruise along the coastline, admiring the stunning views of the Cinque Terre's 5 villages from the sea.

Excellent driver and tour guide, a very long day, ended up almost 15 hours due to traffic and delay at toll booth, glad we did it but once will be enough for Cinque Terra, bus drive, train, and two boats, very full day but lots of beautiful views, if you do this tour skip Portofino not worth doing both and this was the better of the two tours and did not enjoy Genoa at all which was included with Portofino

So like everyone said, other than the bus and boat ride you are moving moving. But you have plenty of free time in areas and can sit still if you choose. It was a great taste of cinque terre and the guide was very nice and friendly and very knowledgeable. I would highly recommend this to anyone.

Mauricio is an excellent tour guide. Very organized, has methods to ensure everyone is accounted for and very conscientious on providing as much information and help to his customers. His driver for the trip is also great- an excellent driver, calm, collected and very polite.

Travel by bus first was great. It was a rainy day, but the rest of the experience by train and boat was excellent. Our tour guide was really excellent and gave a lot of historical narrative going to our staring point of La Spezia. Our tour guide was a wealth of information and was excellent even in suggesting great places to lunch.

It takes a long time to get there and a long time to get back. Not enough time to be there or visit the 5 cities. However it’s great for a quickie experience or as introduction of these 5 amazing towns. The experience was pleasant and the guides were great. Oleg and Noemi were very helpful with our Italian family too. They translated English n Italian. The experience was enjoyable and comfortable. It was short. However I understand that one day is not enough for 5 amazing towns. Next time they should have the boats stop in front of each town and mention name and give passengers time to take a few photos
