On this three-day tour, you will get to know 7 impressive archaeological zones full of nature and history.
1rst day: You will start in the Río Bec region; On the first day you will visit and admire the refined architecture of Chicanná, better known has the “House of the Serpent’s Mouth”, because it has a huge mask facade of the Central Structure. After that you will visit Becán, an special place with a moat that surrounds the main buildings of the site. To finish your first day, you will visit Xpujil, with its tall ornamental towers and its unique style in Mexico. Aftter we will go to have a delicious mexican lunch and stay at a local hotel.
On the second day you will visit Dzibanché, former capital of the powerful Kaan dynasty in the early classic and then, we will visit the impressive stucco masks of the Sun God of Konhulich. Both side are perfect birdwatching spots. After a full day of birding and climbing mayan structrures, we will return to Xpujil to have lunch and rest for the next day.
On the last day you will be surprised by Calakmul, the first Mixed Heritage of Mexico, considered the most extensive tropical forest in the country, where you will discover the most important city of the classic Mayan period in Mexico and finally you will visit Balamkú, with its spectacular modelled stucco frieze. After those places, we will return to Campeche city.
