The cherry blossom trees are without a doubt the stars of springtime in Washington, DC. Visit the District during this time and you'll find the nation's capital is accented in pink. It's the best time to take a tour finding the nation's capital is accented in pink while exploring some more about the city itself at Jefferson Memorial, Tidal Basin, East Potomac Park and Kenwood Community.

Special notes:

2025 Washington D.C. National Cherry Blossom Festival will be held during March 20 and April 13. However the actual blossom view will be varied depending on the weather conditions.

Thomas Jefferson Memorial

The Thomas Jefferson Memorial is a memorial to the third president of the United States. The impressive building is neoclassical in design and has been standing since 1943. It sees more than two million visitors every year. It's only available during the Cherry Blossom time.

East Potomac River

East Potomac Park is a park located on a man-made island in the Potomac River in Washington, D.C. The park lies southeast of the Jefferson Memorial and the 14th Street Bridge, and the park lies between the Washington Channel and the Potomac River. As one of the top-selected city's blossom sites, you will get the amazing blossom views of the cherry trees lining the shore on both sides of this peninsula at the confluence of the Potomac and Anacostia Rivers during National Cherry Blossom Festival.

Kenwood Community Cherry Blossom

Now, over 1,200 trees grace the area bearing hundreds of thousands of beautiful tiny white flowers that bloom during the spring season.
