Overview

Soar over the west Maui rainforest and the north shore of Molokaʻi to view the sea cliffs and waterfalls. Head back over West maui to our amazing Oceanfront Landing location to take in the views. Once done at the landing location the pilot will take back off and continue the tour back to the Kahului Heliport.

Know before you book

  • Infants are required to sit on an adult’s lap
  • Suitable for all physical fitness levels
  • Weight Restrictions: Due to FAA regulations, all passengers must be weighed at check-in. For each single passenger weighing 240 pounds or more, combined weights of 420 lbs per couple, or for groups of 3 or more an average weight of 200lbs or more an additional seat must be purchased at time of booking. This is for the safety and comfort of all passengers. It is important to provide accurate body weight at checkout.
  • It is recommended that all passengers wear dark clothing to help have less reflection in the windows when flying and therefore you can get better photos during your tour
  • Flight routes & sights may vary due to weather
  • Infants under 24 months must sit on an adult lap. PLEASE CONTACT AIR MAUI IF BRINGING AN INFANT. Over 24 months must occupy their own paid seat.
  • Please contact Air Maui directly for your check in and departure time at least 72 hours prior to your flight!
  • Not wheelchair accessible. There is no wheelchair lift to accommodate wheelchair passengers nor can the staff personally/physically assist people into the helicopter
  • Helicopter is a shared cabin holding 6 passengers and one pilot on each flight.
  • No bags allowed on board. This includes a handbag, bum bag, backpack, etc.

Air Maui Helicopter Tours
  • 30m
Take off from the heliport and over the ridges of West Maui. Continue across the Pailolo channel to the island of Molokai to explore the tallest sea cliffs, rainforest and waterfalls.
West Maui Mountains
Coming back you will then land at Air Maui’s private oceanfront landing location on the North shore of Maui to take in the views.
Molokai (Pass by)
Then flight will then continue across the West Maui Mountains and back to the heliport.

All of it. Especially when we zig zag down valley to the coastal landing. Views were amazing. The Pilot " Nathan" was the coolest guy ever. ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐

The only disappointing experience of my once in a lifetime Maui trip. The cramped seating, dirty windows were difficult to see anything and impossible to take a picture from. The pilot gave no interesting island information. The video was of just us in the helicopter, the cliffs were my specific request and was told yes they are on the video but they are not, no waterfalls, none of the scenes I’d hoped for and bought the video to have. The people were super nice but sadly, that does not make up for the inability to have photos of the sites and information about the different islands. I will forever regret wasting my precious Maui time on this experience.

My first time helicopter ride was AMAZING and I'd definitely do it again. This was the epitome of my 75th birthday celebration in Hawaii. Our pilot, Vince, was very knowledgeable about the islands, made us all feel comfortable and at ease as some (not me!) were a little nervous. BEST EXPERIENCE EVER!

This was the best excursion we did while on Maui! Beautiful views of both islands, waterfalls and the reefs. Highly recommend this flight.
