Overview

I am Catia your host , together we will go to discover Venetian traditional food through my family recipes and its history . We will visit our historical market , one of the oldest in Europe , I will tell you the history of the Market and you will see the colourful stalls full of fruits and vegetables end spices. After that we will go to my house and we will make Pasta from scratch…the typical one " Bigoli” made with an ancient press ( that kind of press was invented in the 1600 and it is called “Bigolaro”) …you will well come with our Cicchetti , a venetian starter , and at the end you will make our well-known dessert invented in my region…Tiramisù!

We will make fresh Pasta from scratch. Regional pasta called Bigoli It is made with a hand press and than Ravioli with a seasonal filling and Tiramisù. e will visit the anciest coverd Market in Europe In Padova "Sotto il Salon " Under the Great Hall . This is the ground floor of the Palazzo della Ragione ( Justice Palace ) in the heart of Padova built in the Middle Ages which hosts a variety of stores where you can find typical local products . We will also wander to the open Market with its different stalls of fruits and vegetable .
