Petra was first established around the 6th century B.C. by the Nabataean Arabs, a nomadic tribe that settled in the area and laid the foundations of a commercial empire that extended into Syria. Upon arrival, you will begin the trip on horseback to the canyon to the so-called Siq, and then by foot to the most beautiful monument: the Treasury. Among other monuments you will see are the Street of Facades, the Royal Tombs, and Pharaoh’s Castle. Petra was also chosen to be one of the New 7 Wonders of the world. This was an excellent trip with Ahmad. I chose to do the trip without a guide and I felt like that was sufficient. It is very easy to figure out where to go if you follow the map. Ahmad was happy to add on to the trip in any way I liked. Truly private and fully customizable.

The site is breathtaking. Walking through the tunnel and seeing the treasury. The carvings in the mountains. The amazing walking. Just ignore everyone trying to sell you things
