PLEASE READ: Your instructor will greet you with the appropriate paperwork. If you are new to scuba diving, you must fill out a medical form and be able to answer "NO" to each of the questions. Contact Banyan Tree Divers for a copy of this form if you have any medical conditions that might impair your ability to dive so you can review it and secure a doctor's clearance if necessary. Certified divers will sign a PADI liability release. After your dive safety briefing, you will head to the water. Beginner divers practice skills in shallow water to get comfortable with breathing and the dive equipment before continuing for an exciting dive. IMPORTANT: YOU MUST WAIT AT LEAST 18 HOURS TO FLY, ZIPLINE, OR ASCEND TO HALEAKALA AFTER SCUBA DIVING. You will complete a medical form before your dive. You must be able to answer "NO" to each one of the questions on the form. A "YES" ON THE MEDICAL STATEMENT WILL REQUIRE A DOCTOR CLEARANCE TO DIVE.
