Charent's Arch (Pass by)
On the way to village Garni we can stop at Charents Arch to enjoy a unique view of Mount Ararat. Charent's Arch is a monument and tourist attraction erected in 1975 and dedicated to the famous Armenian poet Yeghishe Charents. The monument is significant due to its view on Mount Ararat and Yerevan. (We can stop to take photos (optional))
Garni

Trip to Garni village (the journey will take approximately 1 hour). Garni is the only surviving pagan temple in Armenia. Built in the Hellenistic style in the 1st century by the Armenian King Trdat I. The complex was strategically built upon a promontory above high cliffs and surrounded by walls, making it a powerful fortress. We will stop for excursion and you will see: Garni pagane temple, Roman bath with a partly preserved mosaic floor, ruins of the medieval round church of St. Sion (approximately 1 hour)
The Monastery of Geghard

Geghard Monastery (4th century) is a unique monastery complex (UNESCO World Heritage Site). Half of the monastery is not visible from outside as it is built into the huge rocks that are surrounding it. Architects marvel at this because the church was built without advanced tools. We will stop for excursion (approximately 1 hour)
Monastery Sevanavank

Next sight of the day tour is Lake Sevan (the journey will take about 1,5 hours) – the largest freshwater alpine lake in Eurasia set on an altitude of 1,900 m above the sea level. Where you can visit the 9th century monastic complex of Sevanavank located on the peninsula of the lake. The first church of the monastery was built by Gregory the Illuminator in 305. Sevanavank is also known as “Mariamashen” i.e. “Built by Mariam”, as according to an inscription on one of the churches, the monastery of Sevanavank was founded by Princess Mariam in 874. We will stop for excursion and you will see: medieval churches and you will have best view on the Lake Sevan. (approximately 1 hour)
Lake Sevan

Lake Sevan is the largest body of water in Caucasus region. It is one of the largest freshwater high-altitude lakes in Eurasia. The lake is situated in Gegharkunik Province, at an altitude of 1,900 m (6,234 ft) above sea level. We will stop for the view and photos (approximately 30 minutes) Back to Yerevan (the journey will take about 1,5 hours)
