You’ll join one of our hosts and enjoy a day out of the city together, relaxing in the paradise of Lake Como (although you don’t have to actually be in the lake if you don’t want to). Between the dramatic foothills of the Alps and the tranquil waters of the lake, the area is home to an enchanting collection of small hamlets and towns, sprinkled with Neoclassical villas, rustic homes and Renaissance architecture which will have you dreaming of moving here. You could wander through the historic centre of Como then hop back on the train and head to Varenna, a charming town on the east of the lake where you can soak up la dolce vita, wandering along cobbled streets and enjoying the spectacular views of the lake from its shores. Watch the crystal clear waters slipping between turquoise and azure blues as you glide along the lake on a cruise, or if you’re here in summer (you lucky thing), let your host take you to a relaxing spot where you can take a dip in the lake. You’ll be lulled into a blissful coma by the romantic architecture and mediaeval porticoes - or maybe it’s a food coma from the delicious Milanese delicacies you’ll eat - before the day is done.

Within 24 hours after booking you'll receive a short questionnaire about your personality and interests. Based on your responses, you'll be assigned a like-minded host. Your host will communicate with you directly to suggest an itinerary to help you discover what makes the city unique. You will also agree on a meeting time and place. Your itinerary is flexible, so during the experience, you can always change your mind about what you want to do.
